  • hey there can i ask for ur help? i have a pet barramundi and it wouldn't eat anything, it always stay still on the bottom and rarely swim around. i just got it like 2-3 days ago, I place it in a 6 foot tank with alligator gar of the same size, the gar would finish all the food before the barramundi even touch it, im afraid it will die soon if it stays like this, its my first barramundi and i dont wanna lose it, it really upset me

  • @giantfoottruck Not sure really, does he have any places to hide? he may just be really stressed. Try dropping food right infront of his face.

  • @taylorc2010 hi there thnx for the reply, i just found out it has white spot, I tried curing it with methylene blue, hopefully those little white spotty bastard will be exterminated soon, right now it only accept few feeder fish, i tried giving it frozen fish meat but it wouldn't eat it, i think i might have to let it starve for a while so it will accept other healthier food, because the white spot could have been caused by those feeder fish..

  • how big do they get?

  • @TheMysteryman334 Umm.. debateable, but recently a guy caught a 45kg model at Kinchant Dam which was about 145cm, i think.. but every seems to say 180cm.

  • is this freshwater!?

  • Nice Barramundi :-) Check mine out ~.~

  • why a rainbow those are expensive, are they not? Why not something cheap like barbs or alot of cinvicts. convicts are probably the cheapest and easiest fish to breed if you want live food.

  • @zephspacer Caught it down at a creek for free.

  • Where do you buy these at ?

  • @espirates2 got it from a pet fish shop, hes dead now, got to 60cm then he died during yasi, just got a new one though, 5cm :P

  • @taylorc2010 He was too big for your tank probably.

  • @00vampirate00 Yes it is true that he was a bit to big for his tank when he died, but it wasnt because of his size, just that he had no filtration and no airation, no battery powered airators were available (sold out).
