  • amazing rolling harriers! now can u do them in a figure 8 circuit?

  • @toolbaggers Yes the pilot can, he does them regularly in his 35% Extra

  • you fly fast.

  • thenoblequran (Ctrl+Enter)

  • Hey, is this worth buying for 80$?

  • @joshfireworks Yes they are worth the money, even without mod's they are capable of 3D and are very responsive.

  • watch my stunts videos with falco 300 !!! in my account ...

  • nice flying. Have you tried the new sukhoi 26xp?

  • ok. Eh I dont think you know who I am, lol i`v flown MANY planes so dont think that I am a beginner dude.

I fly the sukhoi with ease, but I think it is junk cuz I cant get high enough to do what I want.

It bearly has the power to loop, and please answer that question because I cant get it answered: should it have enough power to loop or is it just the way all sukhois is?

    Thanks mate

  • @matrobsti Well it can be made to do just that as you can see. How is up to how you think about it.

  • BTW, if you don't know where the leading edge of the wing is as opposed to the trailing edge, that automatically qualifies you as a beginner. You also need to know terms like Mean Aerodynamic Chord, Center of Lift, Center of Gravity, moment arms. If you really want to help yourself you can work on Watts per pound calculations, power to weight ratios, miliamp/hour flow etc...

  • @ssgtakeo yo smart one, you dont need to know all that to fly a damn micro sukhoi. and the words LEADING edge and TRAILING edge speak for themselves unless yur a total tard.

  • @RCFlyingBoy2009 Hey fool, don't look at me, I know what those terms mean, Matrobsti doesn't

  • @ssgtakeo and? that proves he a tarrd. xP

  • @matrobsti mines can hover stock. yurs is messed up

  • Sorry for not knowing this, but where is the leading edge?

Since people always say that the cg is ...? from the leading edge.

  • @matrobsti Hey look, I don't mind helping out but there's no room on here to give you a complete education. You need to do a lot of extra reading and learning before you're ready for this kind of bird. Go out and educate yourself on the topic, there are a ton of resources available, and it doesn't pay to be lazy about doing your own research.

  • ok. Thanks. But again: Did you change the motor?

And if I choose to add weights on the back, what do u recomend?

  • have you done any modifications to the motor to do that?

What else have you done and how?

  • @matrobsti I can't link on youtube, it's not allowed. search function on google is a good start.

  • Im sorry, but I cant find any threads on rcgroups. Can you give me a link, or something?

    Thanks

  • how?

  • @matrobsti There are tons of threads on RCgroups, take a look out there.

  • @matrobsti I mean where is the threads, i cant find any?

  • do you think it will do that on stock setup?

  • @matrobsti No, you will have to modify the CG,

  • does it hover and harrier with all stock or have you modified it?

    Does it survive minor crashes?

  • @matrobsti The mods are in the description, survives ok but fragile prop. Upgrade it with the GWS 5X3

  • How did you get the plane to stay up while it was spinning?

  • @bakonlicious Look up "rolling Harrier"

  • Wow fantastic flying dude! I just got myself one of these, a lot more practice needed to be up to your standard!

  • @tp2fly Yeah it's hard to fly like this, takes a lot of practice+ natural talent.

  • Norio Eda san is one hell of a good test pilot, wonder could he fly my 26m this good lol

  • You're flying so good.

  • @toyyou2jp ありがとございます。 弟 の腕 すごい ですね

  • @ssgtakeo What?

  • @TheIndoorFllyer1 Google translator is your friend.

  • @8UP1977 What language is that?

  • @8UP1977 I got "Arigatogozaimasu . Wow brother arms" What does that mean?

  • try the su-26xp from parkzone lol it will eat this up like caviar

  • Dang dude that thing has GIANT control surfaces for such a small plane! I'm going to get one, can I have a link to where you get it??

  • @smeelokilo check the horizon hobby web page.

  • will any 2.4 ghz TX bind with this guy?

  • Only Spektrum and JR

  • so if i have a 2.4ghz radio from a jet i bought online but it doesnt have a specific brand its just 2.4ghz it will not work?

  • @CoonBabble What part of "spektrum and JR" was misunderstood?

  • lmao way to be a dick i love that. nice touch.

  • @CoonBabble I agree. What a dick

  • @CoonBabble Ask an obvious question, get an obvious answer. Besides this information could easily be gleaned from the product website.

  • I'm with you ssgtakeo, you made it pretty clear! Nice flying, good vid!

  • @CoonBabble Have to add rudder, elevator and aileron inputs to keep the nose up enough to not fall out of the sky. It's called a "rolling harrier"

  • Yep one of the AR6400 based micro flyers.

  • Great flying my man. I'd love to a see a picture in picture window of your fingers on the radio synced with your flying. My favorite part is when it gets stuck on the fence like fly paper! Thanks for sharing your video.

  • @dtilney Yeah might be worth trying that sometime, didn't think of that for this vid.

  • are you using a different battery because mine doesn't have enough power to hover.

  • The battery was the stock one, the CG modes is what lets this model do it's thing.

  • i'd like to see you do the same thing :)

Fast rolling circles is'nt that easy that you claim :-*

  • why is it that yours seems to have more power than mine? i upgraded the prop and put in the mustang motor. i can't pull off stalls like you are!!

  • I think the battery is the limiting factor. The plane would only hover during the first minute on a fresh pack. Try the newer packs from E-flight for the Blade MSR. They have a higher C rating.

  • This plane is amazing to fly i have one with the airleron mixing and elevator and rudder aswell just annoys me the way they wont knife egde :(

  • Impressive flying and performance of this little Sukhoi! I´m working on mine to get better performance.

  • Thanks! I did the prop mod on mine and not much else as yet. This one is my brother's

  • Hello,

    Super vidéo

Can you explain the mods oh this parkzone sukhoi ?

    thank you

  • Mods are in the video description.

  • So how long did it take you to do all the mods? I tell ya man mine is sick!

  • Hmm try modding it with ailerons first those two are probably a bit hot as a second plane.

  • The only way to fly this thing is with the mods you listed in description. I guess you can buy 100.00 for a brushless motor, esc, and new battery, but the only real issue with this plane is the CG. Thanks guys.

  • Holy S**T, Thats cool, misses out on knife edge, but you guys can fly well. Is that prop standard ? Cool vid......

  • Yep stock prop.

  • Comment removed

  • mice

  • Nice flying...how long have you been flying?

  • Hmm both of us about 20 years.

  • Amazing!!! Parkzone should analize video and take some pointers, this video is much better than the one provided by parkzone to market the sukoi...

  • how you make the hover ?

i can not make taht wiht my sukhoi !

  • Thats amazing for stock(well modded, but stock motor I mean)... as mine seems nowhere near powerful enough to do that.

  • I'm guessing there might be a little wind that is helping you keep straight up?

  • Yeah if you listen carefully you can hear the wind blowing on the camera mic, not much but for a little model like this it's like white water river rafting.

  • Very nice. These things are a blast. Hopefully PZ will take some notes and put out an extreme edition with some of your mods!

Even with the heavy throws I noticed it still wouldn't hold knife edge. Would it tumble?

  • As you can see in the video it will not hold knife edge at all, it will tumble and snap but I guess not enough side area.

  • Yes, I've found snap rolls and spins are brisk.

I had been hoping to knife edge down the hallway at work, and that more throw might get me to it.

Odd that Scott Stoops' review in July "FlyRC" claimed it would sustain KE flight...

  • great flying! I just picked up one of these planes today! I couldn't wait any longer for the 4CH mustang(due late sept). I haven't flown a 4CH plane in years, only 3CH and also I mainly fly helicopters(BCX, BMCX, BCP, BMSR-soon). I have an ember and a sukhoi also. Can't wait to fly it - it is raining today. You seem to have much power, I heard these planes with stock prop don't have much power to hold vertical, but yours seems to do it very well!

  • thats kwl tht i just got one in return of 2 supercubs because as soon as i turned thm on thy burned out haha but am glad to c wht these can actually do

  • English?

  • Yes. That is the language they are speaking.

  • No it's not, it's SMS TXT, it's either that or the ramblings of a sadly illiterate teenager. I don't like to be an ass but this kind of stuff drives me nuts. Spelling and grammar is still important, even when commenting on videos.

  • Nice flying! I liked your fence work, thats always a good landing to practice. You never know when you may have to cling to a chainlink like a scared monkey. Have you guys checked out the "soon to come" Kyosho mini profile? Looks sweet!!! 5 Starz!

  • Yes fence landing should always be practiced with caution.

  • Norio, great piloting job as usual. You should have this vid up at your work. I think it would sell the plane. I loved the sideways fence landing. Bet you couldn't do that again!

  • Awesome video! I've been wanting one as my next plane but first I gotta wait for my MLST2 to sell. I woulda had one yesterday had my last deal gone through!!!

  • Great flying. Keep them coming...

  • I taped a business card on the outboard of each wing, and on elevator. Result was way more stable a/c and more lift, less power. The roll rate was half, and more normal.. great flying as is!

  • That is ugly.

  • I agree!

But is is a fun quick mod change.

I will move the rcvr, servo and brick back....

    Nice flight!

  • Great looking plane. I can't wait to see one of 'em at the field!

  • nice..i got one but no where like that skill..lol

  • un..... belivable ...

  • Great Pilot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Im thinking of sticky taping a small coin to its tail area to pull the CG further back. Any thoughts?

  • It doesn't have a lot of excess power to begin with and you want to add weight?

  • What is the configuration of motor and ESC, please? They are brusheless, right?

  • No, all the mods are listed in the description, we didn't do anything to the power system.

  • I've watched this like 20 times already. Such great plane and skilled pilot.

  • Thanks!

  • I love this plane. I am usually flying heli's but I picked one up a few days ago and cant stop flying it. Just today I also went and picked up a PA Addiction to go along with my new interest. How are you achieving the increased throws? I am currently using my DX7 and bumped my D/R's on ail and Elev to 125. Will the servos hold up? What about more power? Any suggestions?

  • Mod video to come, I think the servos should hold up without too much trouble.

  • great flying

  • Tanksyou!

  • Mods in more detail:

    1. Aileron servo moved to trailing edge of wing just behind the bellcrank. A new hole was drilled into bellcrank for aileron pushrod.

    2. Reciever moved back to where the aileron servo was.

    3. Pushrod lengths were adjusted accordingly.

    4. Control horns on elevator and rudder were removed from the surfaces and reinserted from the other side. This shortens the control horn above the control surface for more throw.

    Have since taken airplane apart.

    CG was not measured.

  • I just got one of these also and was wondering if your CG is where its recomended or different to help achieve this well done flight? and at the beginning it looks like you have a lot of control throw and was wondering how you got that much? but great flying and would love for a response i love mine but had to order 10 props today due to the fact they always preak on landing.

  • It doesn't roll to the right very well due to torque.

  • We know.

  • looks like hard work and not alot of fun to fly

  • Don't buy it then.

  • You need very fast thumbs to fly it the way you see in the video.

  • Y can't i fly my pk SU-26 like U?

    I am so bummed!!!

  • Practice!

  • Cool Flying!! Please make a mod video...

  • Invert tail drag AND HE SAVES IT!! You gotta be kidding me! Who is this guy, Houdini?!?

I was thinking about one of these to compliment my Vapor, Minium, and mCX, but after watching this piece I realize the Su-26 is waaaay out of my league. Heh.

  • Yeah it's pretty nuts. It's pretty much the same in our other 3D videos, but I'm also risking getting chopped up by props there. With this thing it bounced right off me.

  • can it bind to my JR XP6102?

  • you need a 2.4 ghz DSM2 TX. FM won't work

  • so in other words... no

  • Is "correct" CG the 29-31mm they say in the manual or have you moved it back even farther? Do you have the exact measurement you are flying at.

BTW, it goes without saying, NICE FLYING. I'm trying like heck to learn to roll like that, but I'm having such a hard time getting the rudder part of. it.

  • what 'mods' have you made to it?

  • Please read the rest of the thread.

  • sorry but what thread were?

    anyway great flying

  • On here! Look at the rest of the comments. I've explained what mods we made ad nauseum, don't want to keep typing the same explanation over and over.

  • Yes people have to remember this plane is MODDED, and with kind of a crazy skilled pilot at the controls (reference our other 3D videos).

  • I would really be interesting in the mod(s) you did to it. I can't say I thought it would be able to hover but you did it. Great flying!

  • Check the rest of the comments for description of the mods.

  • I corrected the comment, it should have read wouldn't. sorry for the confusion.

  • I pre-ordered 2 of them, can't wait to see what I can do with them. Hope to hear in fine detail in terms of measurements what you moved for CG.

That's some sick flying! Love it

  • Geeee!

    Slightly modded?

    Perfect flight, man!

A tiny thing like that is hard to handle.

  • Yes it is, tip stalls and snaps happen in an instant. Although I find I can fly it pretty easily, it's the both of us flying in the formation video that's on here.

  • the fence landing was the best spidey!

  • awesome vid, killer controls. MOAR! MOAR!

  • I'm suprised how well it hovers having only changed the location of the brick and the aileron servo. Pretty impressive. :)

  • Yep

  • That is cool! I just got mine. Too windy to fly though... What mods did you do on that? How long could you fly it for?

  • couple minutes tops.

  • Hehe... it's so cute :)

  • It's like a little gnat.

  • That's amazing. Can't believe horizon told us it would do 3d :D

  • It won't...stock.

  • Surely it didn't take a ton of mods, did it?

  • Look elsewhere in the comments I talk about what we did to it.

  • Thats not too bad. Its not like you had to had a brushless motor or anything.

  • Motor's stock.

  • lol, my comment should say wouldn't

  • great job do you mind sharing your mods with us i want mine to fly like yours

  • I'll prob do a mods video here shortly.

  • i would love just a quick explanation so i can do mine thanks

  • any way i could get some hints

  • We shortened the push rods and moved the brick to over top of the wing, we also moved the aileron servo behind the wing. That got us the correct CG.

  • thanks has the prop been changed if so to what

  • No no prop change.

  • would love to see the mod vid as i am picking one up mon

  • Looks like it can take alot of crashes jk

  • Great little plane.

  • doesnt look like it knife edges to well, what is ur say on the rudder authority?

  • It seems to have enough, the issue is the shape of the fuse does not lend itself to knife edge flight.

  • Awesome vid, nice flying!

  • Thanks! =0 Don't forget the ratings.

  • Nice!! So it does hover! What mods did you do to it??

  • It's my brothers but he moved the brick back to the just above the wing and the aileron servo behind the wing. Otherwise it's too nose heavy.

  • Brick? what do you mean?

Will it hover with no mods? Hasn't hit hobby shops here yet. where are you located?

  • Yeah wat is the brick?

  • That's the common term for the combo ESC/Reciever/two servos that come in these micro models.
