@MrJerohm EV's were introduced in 3rd Gen games, so nothing happens, same in 2nd Gen games, if you hack the games, so you can level up all your pokemon to lvl100 with rare candies, their stats will be as high as another pokemon (trained normally) at that level :P

Get the item you wanna "copy/duplicate" in the 6 or 7th slot in your back, talk to the coffee guy in the 1st gym(brock's gym), fly to the fire island(forgot the name), surf the waters beside it, that thick line and wait for a strange pokemon to come up. Kill it and you get like 99999999999 of the item in your 6/7th slot.
