They do. Sharks have small pores in their snout that allow them to pick up electrical fields that are given off through our skin. This is how they find prey that's hiding under the sand and how they can find their food when it's miles away. Not to mention that they have an uncanny seance of smell and vision.

Sharks aren't evil. the reason they attack things is because that's how they survive. if you were stranded in the middle of a forest you wouldn't eat rocks! you would hunt something down and eat it. so don't hate sharks. if you swim in shark infested waters and get attacked, its not because the shark is evil! it just a swimmer looks like a seal from underwater and the seal is a favorite food of a shark.

like the narrator said, the water was mainly salty, so it could have been any type of shark really. because if a huge gret white could survive for a day or two, im pretty sure any other smaller type could too. Although i think it was most likely the great white, the bull shark, or the tiger shark, but thats just my opinion.

I've heard that bull sharks will sometimes make their way up the Mississippi via the delta. It's not as rare as you would think. And though I feel sorry for the lives that were lost, it's not as if people don't know there are sharks in the ocean. I live in an area where gators are so rampant that they often end up as road kill. And if I were stupid enough to go swimming in a pond, it'd be with full knowledge that I was setting myself up for gator bait.
