repetative behaviours should be ignored, dont give him attention use a reinforcer as a substitute walk with him the next day hold his hand walk by the bells and spring up mmns on him good walking this will model appropriate behaviours
@nospeakingenglish he's autistic. its not the same as for everyone else. People with autism dont understand requests like that and it can become very distressing.
Ya- I kind of love that he likes to do this. =) There are lots of things I love... like- lines of shoes through the house and that he likes to speak in the third person. "Aiden says good'bye!" =) He's great
Thank for replying. It is just the words behavioral therapy don't really sit well with me. Watched the other vids of you as well.Well lets just say that if you like her great but I am bloody over the moon that ms diane doesn't come to my house. We just have different opinions, but you clearly lov him so much. It is obv from the vids. Best wishes
I meet SO many moms who have SO many differences in opinion on which way to go or what to try- but the bottom line is that we love our babies- which is really a bonding feeling. Our family has tried a little of everything with Aiden- and I think what I have learned the most from all of these different "therapies" is that I am amazed at the RELATIONSHIPS Aiden has been capable of forming with these teachers and therapists. He has really blown me away.
I think it's more that I love THEM- the people- not necessarily any one precise therapy or strategy. We have just been blessed with so many people who I believe genuinely care about Aiden. =)
(Sorry- I had too many letters in my post! It made me cut it in two!)
I love the wind chimes too!!!

I really hope that this is something that he is continued to be allowed to do. My son loves to squeek doors
