  • how can i get this food in the USA?

  • @klingej15

You can send an email to vetafarm@vetafarm.com and our international sales team will provide you with the best supply of our product in the U.S.

  • hi i just had a few questions regarding the Type or brand of lizard food you use and where to get the Mutton Bird Oil and as to how much of the oil i would need to put on each serving?

    Thanks,

  • @LambChild1

The brand of Lizard Food used in the clip is our Herpavet Lizard Food. This product is formulated by veterinarians for balance and is made fresh in Australia. The Herpavet Lizard Food also contains Mutton Bird Oil, so no other source of Mutton Bird oil is required to be added to the diet.

  • @LambChild1

I f you require Mutton Bird Oil for a sick or injured reptile, Vetafarm manufactures a product called Herpaboost. Herpaboost contains Mutton Bird Oil with balanced vitamins and minerals and can be given directly to a lizard by mouth or to snakes in a food item such as a rat or mouse.

  • i am going to buy this but before i do i want to ask a couple of questions.

can you cure MBD if the skink starts to get it?

Do i need to soak this lizard food in water or just give it out of the jar?

  • If the disease is in the early stages, yes. Once deformities begin they are very hard to reverse though, so prevention and getting the animals diet correct are absolutely are essential from the very start. If your animal is suffering from deformities caused by MBD, best to get to a vet for emergency calcium administration, then ensure future diet includes balanced calcium and enclosure contains the correct UV lighting.

  • Vetafarm Lizard Food is designed to be fed dry, but can be fed wet if this suits. Wet food will need to be replaced daily, while dry Vetafarm Lizard Food can be fed and left in an enclosure indefinitely, reducing waste and making feeding much easier for both you and your Lizard.
