Last weekend did a variation of this. I absolutely LOVED adding banana to my conditioner (Aussie Moist) with some coconut milk powder, honey, coconut oil and olive oil. Hair is soft and shiny. My ends are so smooth and moisturized. I'm going to see how long I can keep doing this weekly. It's addictive.
omgoodness - yes blend it! i've done this like twice without blending, banana for days! wash rinse, wash rinse banana was stuck. blending is key - thanks
I don't have a juicer, but that may remove some key parts. If the consistency is your concern, you could try Olive Oil Hair Mayonnaise by VITALE, it's thick and creamy.
Thank you! I'm just trying to find a moisturizing DC and a protein DC to alternate, but since I'm on a tight budget perhaps using stuff I buy anyway would be better, hence my question. Will try this Friday.
Do what makes you comfortable. An easy way to add instant softness is to add an ounce of evoo to your regular conditioner and leave it on your hair for 20 minutes.
That sounds like a good idea, I'll check out the ingredients in the banana baby food. Ideally one of those companies makes a banana olive oil conditioner, right :)
Nice to see you again! That's looks like a very moisturizing recipe to try. I've mixed avacodo with real coconut milk and oil and it really strengthens the hair. Thanks for posting.

@MizzFlyFlashy There is no possible way this could have made your hair fall out. If its edible its not going to harm your hair.

amandahill1989 5 months ago
@amandahill1989 I am white and have been using this mask for 3 years or so ( i know it not from her)
and it works perfect and I think you will see better result than African American hair

What does the Banana do?
temickab 1 year ago
@temickab
Banana helps the hair to hold more moisture/water. The oil helps to lock it in.

@summerorchid1 i might end up licking my hair... LOL but ill give it a try.. Thanks

So just to get this straight, this is a moisturizing deep condish?
jazelle831 1 year ago
all the main ingredients aid in moisture retention, strenthening (less breakage b/c hair becomes more elastic), and sheen (form the olive oil)

I am always hesitant to make things at home, but I am going to try this. I just hope I don't eat the banana before Iget started!

I'll replace some or all of my olive oil with coconut milk next time and see how that works.
I've tried mayo and yogurt as well, but not again, because i like my hair to smell yummy especially if something's gonna sit in my hair for a while :)

Your hair is getting So Long(-: and I'm definitely gonna try this Conditioner... Thanks!
