i have just done a few songs in a recording studio where i paid for the session at the end of the session,i got a recordable cd with the tracks on it. is that cd the master tape? if not can i claim it off of the studio?can i go ahead with pursuing a career with the tracks and do shows and stuff please help.
@damijoshua yeah in generally that would be considered your MASTER. DO NOT GIVE THAT TO ANYONE, it will have a timestamp on it (internal) and if anyone steals your track you can use that CD in court of law. Yeah if you are happy with the results you can now follow your dream and push forward. what i would do though if you ever send a demo cd ie the one you have. Re-record it first then think about throwing in some soundbyte at every 30 seconds, your name or company, protecting your CD is Key

@damijoshua as far as i can see you paid for it and there for they sold YOU the copyrights to this i would for money sakes though, check there website or there copyrights to make sure they retain full rights to this. give me the link to your Studio you used and ill do some research for you.
@damijoshua sweet havent heard the word BLESS in so long man i miss UK anyways what music you do? i have a sister there if its anything shes into is a GREAT singer, but as for the company theres NOTHING that states they keep any rights to the the music they produce for you, so as i can see its 100% yours.
