@DependingOnJesus My father is also a Lutheran Pastor. We are part of the LCMS here in the United States, I wish you had the opportunity to come to our church where we preach God's word is true and without error. Homosexuality is indeed a sin, those struggling should be embraced with God's love, but their actions should be condemned. May God continue to work in all of us to examine ourselves and wonder if we will follow the ways of man, or the ways of the world.
Hey what u said is true, cus there are all those things in the churches exclude the homosexual marriage part. Where i come from the church will never marry off homosexuality. and the sex out of marriage it is a prob (living). Most of the time they keep it a secrete.... this was a good video. keep it up
Yeah, homosexual marriage and life style is well accepted here in Sweden. And sadly it comes more into the churches also. =( I have some gay friends, I don't agree with them but I still respect them. Had a discussion with one of them yesterday. He is a gay christian. He seem a bit angry at me for taking a stand against homosexuality. The truth hurts, but for the good, if you are willing to accept it and change. Please pray for my friend. Only in Jesus is the salvation. Stay blessed!
@DependingOnJesus Why don't you agree with homosexuality, is it because the church twists bible verses to condemn us? You are aware that the bible never mentions gays right?
The bible mention every peoples right, even slaves. It's a matter of life style. I don't think that God created the human race to live together as man and man, woman and woman. I see clear difference between thinking homosexuality and gay people. Homosexuality is a sin, but gay people aren't. It's their choice. God loves everyone. Read John chapter 3. =)
@smurfboywv True. But if you read Romans chapter 1. I can give you more examples. What are you trying to get? If the bible isen't true, then my life is meaningless and everyone that follows Jesus Christ is morons, the great fools that ever lived. I have do admit that. But you see, God is true. I can even prove it by words if you want.
@DependingOnJesus Romans, corinthians, and leviticus speak of idolatry, and temple prostitution, nothing more. I wish people would read entire chapters instead of a verse here and a verse there.
LOL, sorry for laughing... but now you are a word twister, meet them before on youtube. Read Romans 1 the entires chapter.... If you can't understand that homosexuality is a sin, then please remove the entire chapter from the bible. Please grow up and stop twisting words and waste my time. I got a close friend that is homosexual. We had some talks about this and we don't agree but we are still friends. Called respect... A homosexuall human is loved by God, but homosexuality is sin..
@DependingOnJesus In the opening chapter of Romans, Paul reminds his readers about Gentile idolatry and the shrine prostitution which accompanied it. Paul does not mention homosexuals and he does not mention lesbians. Paul’s purpose in Romans 1 is to show that everyone, Jew or Gentile, is equally guilty before a holy God. Romans 1 and homosexuality? Romans 1 is not an argument against homosexuality.
Early Christians who lived within 100 years of Paul (like Aristides and Justin Martyr), understood that Paul was talking about shrine prostitution related to idolatry, a sin which was endemic in first century Rome.
Either God forgot to mention homosexuality when He mentioned Sodom or some modern Christians have got this issue all wrong. We know God is not forgetful so we must conclude that some modern Christians are simply wrong when they base their condemnation of homosexuality on the Bible.
Thank you for posting this. I wonder if you study the Book of Concord or Luther's Small Catechism in the Swedish Lutheran Church. I am an American of Swedish decent, and a Missouri Synod - Lutheran. I treasure the Lutheran Confessions at it seems you do. God's blessing to you. Keep the faith.
Thx for the comment. Luther's Small Catechism used to be teached in the schools, but it was a long, long time ago. Like over 60 years ago or more. I don't know if it's used today so often. But I guess in some Lutheran Churches. My father is a minister in the Swedish Lutheran Church. I have never heared him preached out of The Catechism, in fact I never heard a single priest or pastor preached about text in it. The bible is the most common of course. May God Bless you also, in Jesus.
You have some good and valid points, but are you trying to help the Church of Sweden leave their wrongful decisions? I know that many are "independent" Christians, forgetting that Jesus formed a Church (Matt 16:16) on the "Rock" on earth called Kepha/Peter and gave it power to bind and loose and forgive sins.and promised to be with it till the end of the world (Matt: 19-20). In Acts, we can see the One Church under apostolic authority and power of the Spirit and with some human failings.
people should stop using other people as scapegoats to wash their sins or to feel self rightous about boasting on anothers supposed fault.Judging others and boasting bout it,feeling rightous about ones self for the sake of others.Thats placing faith in ones merits and not in crist even gays persons have been given the chance to believe in crist aswell for rightousness in him and not in themselves.
@MrSmithAaron101 Yes, homosexuals are given the chance to believe, but they must "do the will of the Father", as Jesus says, and not just say "Lord, Lord". They must leave the acts of homosexuality. If they have the tendency, there is no sin, only a wrong inclination towards sinning. Heterosexuals also must leave sins such as living together without being married before Christ and the Church, committing adultery, pederasty, incest, bestiality, and bisexuality,in sexual sins
Rightousness is not about a feeling, it's about commiting your entire heart and life daily to God. I agree. The only thing we can boast about as Christians is that God has done for us. Turning our hearts to him and let his love speak trough us.
Hey, just wanted to say that I am praying for you and other believers in Sweden, that you might run the race with endurance, fixing your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith. I have some friends on staff with Cru in Sweden, and they would be delighted to know that you are there serving the Lord as well. God bless you, brother.
Dude! soo true! im a student at the ramp school of ministry in Hamilton Alabama USA, im believing with you for a nation wide revival in Sweden, i feel that the lord has placed it on my heart to take a missions trip to Sweden, so if you could hook me up with some contacts i'd really appreciate it. God bless you bro, keep burning for God
It's too bad that that the Church of Sweden was tied to the state, that probably explains the rapid decline of it. Before 1958 your church was alright. Bo Giertz was a good orthodox Bishop in your church. I am Lutheran as well so I will pray for your country and you as well.
@HailZeon57 The state sponsorship of the Swedish Church is a great boulder around its neck. It must reclaim its independence from the state and the political decisions, such as approving homosexual "marriage". There is much good in that church, but they must throw off the Yoke!
I agree with you. Bo Giertz was a good bishop that really feared God and not trying to please the world, changing their opinions and beliefs to satify themselves and this world. Thx for the prayers. Keep living for Jesus. =)
I am a lutheran in the US of the missouri synod, and I believe that God never changes...Just because the world changes, God doesn't. Nothing we can do can get us to heaven. It is by faith we are saved thru grace, it is a gift of God, less any man should boast..Because of our love of God, we want to please him and let his light shine thru us. I know if God comes tomorrow I am ready for him.. I know he sent his only son to die for me, so that I may be with him in heave...Peace be with you
It is so encouraging to know that God is raising up young, faithful leaders such as yourself in Sweden, and indeed around the world. As we each make our stand, we can be comforted knowing that, though we are separated by a vast ocean, we are standing together on God's Word! The Lord be with you, brother.
His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
I commend you sir. As a Lutheran here in America and the grandson of a Lutheran minister you are totally right. We need more people like you in Sweden and in the world. May God bless you and stick close to God and his Word!!
God bless you! You can make a difference. I came here by accident. To report back to the awful comments I saw on the video comment section about the Tragedy in Japan. God bless Japan..I hope you respond back sir. I came here to see religious comments on several pages..the matter at hand is (Godless) people saying hateful things to Japan people..these atheist people, being vulgar and evil to people is so bad. I will say i have been to (blessed site) in short. These ppl are lost. Spread God's wd
Thanks for you kind comment brother. There is life in Jesus, only in him. Let's stand united in him against the strongholds of Satan, against his minions, against the demons, fallen angels. Satan is an angel that lost his glory, he is the father of all lies. One of his name in Greek is Diablos which means slanderer. He turns Christians against Christians, using the bitterness to let em war against each other. But in Jesus is the life
AWESOME courage!! I grew up as a Lutheran, and know what you are saying is true. It took a lot of courage in my family of Lutherans to take what the Bible says over what Lutheran tradition says, and my sister has followed suit. I know that the area you grew up is not pro-Christian, and I truly admire your courage. Thanks for sharing!!
Amen. Yeah, it's true. We have to break free from the bondage of Satan, from the lies of this world. I got a lot of friends in diffent churches. The Lutheran church is full of sin and it boasts over it, it's wicked, ungodly. But it's coming more and more to other churches also, but in a hidden way. We gotta stand up for God, who can be against us when he is for us? Keep living for Jesus with all your heart. Blessings in him!
@Griphen84 Thank you for standing up for God, and for your words of encouragement from Romans 8. You also keep living for Jesus with all your heart. Blessings in Him!!
Always stay near Jesus, speak and listen to him daily. The Holy Spirit is our helper. Even the smallest prayer with a low amount of faith can effect nations and the world, that people will start to follow. That they will fiend Jesus as their best friend. =)
@Griphen84 Obviously, Satan has to attack subtly in the churches to deviate people from the Truth. Homosexuality is now being touted as a virtue. There are people who suffer from the tendency, so we must pray for them and back them up spiritually, but we must not approve that or any other deviant and immoral behavior, for both Leviticus 18 and the writings of Paul (Romans 1, I Cor 1:6, and 1 Tim 1) are quite clear and inspired by God. Priests and ministers should not be immoral.
I agree. It's sad how priests and ministers try to use the bible according to what they think, according to their opinions. It's becoming more and more acceptable to live as a homosexual Christian here in Sweden. Of course we have to respect the will of people, that's not the same thing to agree, we can't compromise with truth. God did great the marriage between man and woman. We have to stand firm in God, in his world.
4 Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love. 5 Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place—unless you repent. 6 But this you have, that you hate the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.
Amen brother, you were so true. For a time now I really lost my love for God, the first love, but the during the last week and days I been opening my heart and I can feel the Holy Spirit flowing stronger again. God is on the move. Let's join him. Stay blessed my dear friend in Christ Jesus. =)
I pray for Sweden a lot now. And for Swedish people. I myself am not Swedish... But I realize that Christians in my country many times assume that a modern nation like Sweden needs no prayer and is just fine. But I believe otherwise. I believe God trhough Jesus can use the Swedish people for His purpose. I pray that many people in your country come to know Jesus personally. Your video has encouraged me our God bless you. With many turning to Jesus those statistics of Sweden will improve. Thanks.
I am Lutheran, I pray to and love Jesus and believe he loves me.
Yet I am gay and have suffered under that - I assure you it is not a choice.
So what am I supposed to do - repent on something which God gave me - I don't think that is His message.
My Church is working hard to make the Gospel work in the real world and to make that world a better place for all God's people - including homosexuals who live in faith & love, but nevertheless chastised by heterosexuals who cannot possibly understand.
I´m okay with that, everyone can choose what and whom they believe in.
We all have sin and sins in our lives, areas that we need to work on, none it perfect.
The bible was given to us, so that we would know God´s will and that we could have a personal relationship with God.
And God´s word points out that homosexuality is wrong, God still loves the homosexuals. But we weren´t created to live in homosexuality. I respect your choice. Freedom is in Jesus Christ and his will, not our.
The Bible was given to us - after adaptation and censor by the early Church. To know what is "God's word"; unfortunately we have to believe man!
On the subject of homosexuality
- being gay is not a belief, and
- please don't insist on "choice"; that is wrong and hurtful.
We do not know for sure if we are born neutral; what we do know is that we end up in a state that we do not choose. Social rejection drives many to suicide; why would we choose to be gay? Ask us.
@DependingOnJesus it is not Jesus' will to respect homosexuals who live openly in sin as long as it is in "faith & love". it is Jesus' will to repent from sin and trust in Him. homosexuality is sin no matter how it is depicted. God created the world and placed an order on it to promote faith and love, one of these orders is that marriage is for a man and woman. @desktopmarco sin is a condition we all inherited from Adam, only the new Adam (Christ) can take it away. I'll pray for you brother.
@desktopmarco If being gay is not a choice then where does it come from. I can tell you with no doubt that God did not create you to be gay. It might be a family spiritual curse or maybe an experience from childhood. I remember when I was a young man a gay man tried to tell me I had homosexual tenancies. I believe he wanted to seduce me but I was fortunate that he was too old and weak to even try any thing. Roman8:15 Bless you
@LordJesus4Ever Only God made me the way I am - I did not choose. If I had the choice I would not be gay. Please be aware that you have learnt a point of view without ever having experienced being gay - you have no basis for your statement. You only have to become friends with a few gay guys (they will not bite you, I promise) and then listen to their life stories. Unless you are gay you cannot possibly know enough to make statements like this. Please do not be cruel to us; we are human too.
@desktopmarco You say that I don't have a basis for my statement, but I do. I have an unquestionable, absolutely correct infallible basis to make my statement from. Its call the Holy Bible. God would not contradict Himself. He would not call homosexuality a sin and judge it with death, then create a person to be homosexual, If you truly believe that God made you the way you are(gay), them you need to seek deliverance not only from being gay, but a lying spirit of rebellion. Jesus our Deliverer
@LordJesus4Ever Oh, I apologize, I thought you were someone with whom I could have an objective debate; but your reply indicates you have not really considered any of my responses - instead you just repeat that the Bible and the men who wrote it is an infallible and literal account of God's word. You must surely realize that with all its contradictions and misinterpretations, that fundamentalism is no reflection of reality. You will live a sheltered and frustrated life if you remain so stiff.
@desktopmarco In the name of Jesus WE, all bible believing Christians who follow the bible and believe it to be the TRUE word of God, infallible, inerrant, inspired by the Holy Spirit of God REBUKE you. DO NOT call yourself a Christian and call His word garbage. You will stand before a God who calls homosexually a sin and SEND you to HELL if you don't repent of it and put the blame where it belongs, ON YOU. Its fundamentalism that puts the lamp on a stand for all to see. I LIVE FOR JESUS DO YOU?
@LordJesus4Ever Sorry, this response is not useful as a discussion - you are saying there is no discussion - those who follow the bible must also follow the context and THINK about interpretation. And, God will judge me by his grace and by his grace alone, not by dogmatic intolerance towards my fellow men.
At least reflect on what I'm offering to you here - if you care about gaining Christian followers, stop preaching Biblical hate; instead preach Jesus ' love and share that love with all.
@desktopmarco You DO NOT know the Bible you know enough to be dangerous. You are lie a clanking cymbal , a cloud that gives no rain I in NO way tolerate sin as a matter of fact I HATE sin. I love people ALL people. But I will not let a person think they can live a sinful life and call themselves a Christian. Admit it be truthful Jesus DID NOT create you to be gay and apologize to Him for such lies.Until you come to the pure truth you will not be free
@LordJesus4Ever You have no clue, you are just repeating stuff you have learnt from other Bible thumpers. You have no opinion, no ability to discuss the world you live in, the real world. You are a zombie, no mind of your own - wake up !!
Do you realize that there are big real problems in this world to be resolved and that Christian faith-based organizations with volunteers of all ages are working all over the world to help humanity? What do YOU contribute by calling most of them sinners?
@LordJesus4Ever No, all who follow Jesus are not fundamentalists, there are also those of US who THINK and are challenged everyday to place the good words in a here-and-now context. Fundamentalists are NOT the only Christians; and they will become an ever-decreasing group if they continue to operate as if real life doesn't exist. Fundamentalism must mean also that women should obey their husbands, and be stoned to death if they are raped. Women pastors are probably a sin - is that right?
@LordJesus4Ever How many young people do you expect to enter or stay with the church if the church preaches extremism as you do? Do you know the atheist rate in Scandinavia and Finland is among the highest in the world? Get real, acknowledge that extremism pushes people away, whereas some flexibility of your interpretation will bring young people back into the church to hear and benefit from the higher level word of God and the love of Jesus. Extremism is killing religion - wake up!
@LordJesus4Ever Please see also my replies to dgalem - if you just keep saying the Bible is to be taken literally and without question, then any discussion is not worthwhile. Also, we would all be stoning our best friends and neighbors because they ate shellfish or they wore clothes of mixed fabrics (Leviticus again).
Get real, think rather than blindly accept, but by all means do continue to spread the Gospel and the love of Jesus, not the hate of some specific passages and interpretations.
@desktopmarco@desktopmarco I was wondering, can you show me in the bible where Jesus says its ok to be homosexual. I have been reading you messages and not once have you quoted the bible. Jesus was and is a "it is written" man. I believe Jesus would quote 1 Corinthians 6:9Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived...nor abusers of themselves with mankind...shall inherit the kingdom of God. or Lev18:22Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind:
@LordJesus4Ever Jesus never mentioned homosexuality. Paul did. Leviticus is not a good reference because it has so many "laws" which are so ridiculous in today's context. Anyway, Jesus rebuked them as in "it is not what goes into a man which is unclean, only that which comes out" (!)
We live in today's context, not that of the Roman empire, nor the early times of Leviticus where eating and personal hygiene required specific rules to help people survive.
@desktopmarco you are lost in your demonic self deluded lies. YOU will be judged by a PURE and HOLY God. repent and seek His Truth Stop taking the bible out of context
@LordJesus4Ever Well, I guess that is the end of our "conversation" - a pity to see young people pulled into the trap of blind faith - unable to dialogue. Unwilling to challenge yourself, using only dogma to marginalize fellow humans, having the audacity to claim THEY took the Bible out of context. My friend, I ask you to place what you read in the Bible IN CONTEXT - then you would see how you are blind to His truth.
God made me gay, Jesus loves me, and He will judge you for misrepresentation.
11But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolator, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.
12For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within?
13But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person. We will pray for you
Does that mean "goodbye", - without the privilege of even a brief rational discussion? Quote the Bible, quote the Bible, quote the Bible - what else can you say when the ventriloquist's arm is removed ?
I do not have a choice to be gay, but you do have a choice to become a thinking person; use the intellectual and rational thought processes and the inquisitive mind God gave to you. God would be pleased if you were to do that. I'm sure he doesn't like your passive acceptance.
@desktopmarco At the risk of being flagged as spam..
We will pray for you
@desktopmarco I don't believe that all gay people are going to hell. I think God judges everyone according to their faith/beliefs. But I disagree with "making the Gospel work in the real world." You don't fit the Gospel around your community, practices, or culture! You and others in the church are to make yourselves and everything in your life work for the Gospel. That is Christ's command.
You must take up your cross and follow him. This often means doing things differently from non-believers.
@ajatkinson2004 Thanks. I won't go to hell because I'm gay, perhaps for some other reason - we are saved only by God's grace (at least that is what us Lutherans believe). As for fitting the Gospel to society, I think that is exactly what happened when they were written - the context of the time was what got written about; I don't mean the major themes and the meaning of the message, I mean the details, the stories, the specifics - they are all contextual. Jesus spoke to help us in our context.
@ajatkinson2004 Post #2: Having said that: I agree we may do things differently to non-believers; but the things we do based on the messages of Jesus to help humanity (social work, volunteer work, teaching, whatever) are by definition transposed contextually otherwise all we can do is preach rather than help our brothers in the real world.
@desktopmarco I beilive that if God created you ,that there is a purpose behind it if The word of God bands homosexuality wel the is a reason for that I'm sure God can change that from someone I have heard many testimonies of Homosexual who by Gods power change their lives and hearth! :)
How is it possible that "socialization" of your church is the problem? Please explain.
I have had the belief that the Church exists for society - to guide values, fulfill spiritual needs, build strong community; surely that is positive socialization.
Of course the church does not have a monopoly on those elements - an atheist population would hopefully develop similar characteristics, because they stem from basic human need and collective ability to self-organize in a civil manner.
@desktopmarco it is a problem,, once you have to change God's word to fit what the Politically Correct crowd think,, it ceases to be a church,, then it is a club,, ,, oh,, LCMS Lutheran Church Missouri Synod,, german lutheran,,from the large migration to escape the pietest movement in gemany to the U.S.
@dgalem Christians must honour and try to live the message of Jesus as the son of God -as far as we know what he said through the gospels and other new testament writings. If we Christians cannot accept, love, and honour all well-meaning fellow humans - then we are missing the wider meaning of Christianity for the sake of some questionable details. My church contributes to the ecumenical movement, which by definition implies acceptance of some theological differences - yet we are all Christians.
@dgalem Thank you for explaining the LCMS - but you see that's the problem; those guys escaped from the pietist extremists of Germany at that time, so they also had theological, or perhaps real world, issues with a stricter and less accepting dogma. Now, it is they themselves who criticize other Lutheran movements for wanting to escape some strict elements in today's world.
@dgalem As a gay I use my example - only a gay can tell you what it is like to be one and to be rejected by society and particularly by his own church. It is the church that puts rejection of fellow human beings into the minds of society - it is the church that brings parents to reject their own homosexual children and bring them to suicide. God would never accept that, Jesus' teaching transcends this kind of hate, God has it right, but unfortunately man and the church got it so wrong -so wrong.
we have the same problem with the Lutherans here,, except LCMS I agree with most of your points (only because didn;t have time to listen to it all), Lutherans need to move back to the heritage and belief system that makes us Lutherans,,, very good video,,, also your English is fine,,, hopefully you can help bring your church back to where it should be,,, good luck
I find Lutheran churches are quite different from place to place - but I really believe that a church must be both a stabilizing factor in a wild society, and also progressive to the extent of acknowledging and accepting people the way God made them. The Bible is full of advice we would be horrified to execute (stoning to death, slavery, women treated as second class humans, etc.); so static, dogmatic religion is inappropriate. It must also be real world.
Peace out! Ha en skön helg.
Amen, that´s true. Yeah, the baptism is not saving, even if it´s very important.
Sadly we can see this wickedness and sin grow in many other churches too, not just int the Lutheran church. But it´s more hidden in the most churches. We need to see clear with our spiritual eyes.
Agree, it´s the soul who is saved, that God saves. Even if we will have glorious bodies in heaven when this world is no longer existing.
Well, the Lutheran church in the US is now the same. Homosexuality has now been accepted for the Lutheran clergy. The hymnals are now rewritting with a same sex marraige ceremony. I was a life long Lutheran, and find myself unable to continue with that.
God we should flee from the sin and out of churches that call them selves Christians but haven´t got a sign of it, that live by the standard of the world and not following Jesus. A gospel of just love, everything is good. We have to be judge in Jesus Christ and repent or we can be judge in our selves and that will keep us away from Jesus, still living open in the sin.
There are some right righteous priest left, my father is one of them.
@DependingOnJesus You are right - Christians honour and try to live the message of Jesus, son of God -as far as we know what he said through the gospels and other new testament writings. If we Christians cannot accept, love, and honour all well-meaning fellow humans - then we are missing the wider meaning of Christianity for the sake of some questionable details. My church contributes to the ecumenical movement, which implies acceptance of theological differences - yet we are all Christians.
@realwoman50 Only a gay can tell you what it is like to be one and to be rejected by society and particularly by his own church.
Men accepterar du evolutionsteorin?

I know what you are saying, alot of the churches here in America are leading Jesus's flock the wrong way...We are to Love the sinner not the sin! We should help change sin not welcome it!
Yeah, but this is not a surprise. We have to be a ware of this.
There is a good teaching from Carter Conlon about: Beware of the Angry Watchmen.
It´s about the opposite than this, telling people they can´t return to Jesus even if they want to, that their sins are to big. There is always a narrow path in the Christian life, we have to walk on the road and don´t fall astray.
@TheCricketina I agree that "Love the Sinner not the Sin" is a hypocritical half-way step. It says (for example) a gay man is OK, because we accept he had no choice - but if that man has gay sex then he sins. What do you expect a gay man to do?
God or nature gave us all sexual impulses - we are clearly expected to use them.
I tried to be straight for many years - (see my video "Marco's Awakening") finally I gave in. No, being gay is NOT a choice. Being left-handed neither.
With Sweden's population of 9.3 million, that is roughly the same as here in the United States (abortion statistics). Our population is 300 million and about 1.5 million abortions a year. It's a modern holocaust.
There are 3 main Lutheran churches in the US. The largest (the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America, about 67% of Lutherans) is wicked regarding abortion and homosexuality. The other 2 (Missouri and Wisconsin synods) are strong against these and other sins allowed by the ELCA.
Yeah, it´s wicked. But it´s coming in all churches more and more. This is not a suprise, the bible is talking about it. We have to stand up for God, not matter the cost!
@VioletKitty411 No, the ELCA is not wicked, it is positively progressive, recognizing that the real world exists and focusing on the broad word of Jesus' love for all humans. One person here calls it "socializing" - well that surely is what life is all about - we form societies, live in respect of each other and love ourselves and our neighbour. ELCA does not allow sins - they simply have realized that some "sins" are not - never were.
"Elijah went before the people and said, "How long will you waver between two opinions? If the LORD is God, follow him; but if Baal is God, follow him."
But the people said nothing." Påminner mig om en låt som Leviticus har gjort som heter "Eliah on carmel":D
Dags att vakna upp. Bra att du går ut med detta:D Bless you Brother
@RoyalRockClasse helt sant. vi må følge det som bibelen sier er sant, og ikke det som vi tror. det er synd, rett og slett. men likevel elsker Gud de homoseksuelle, og hvis de tar imot Ham, vil de bli frelst. det er jo mulig!
When we walk deeper with God it dosen´t become easier, it´s the oppsite, Satan tries to strike us down so we get obessed with the world and daily life.
But we have to live our lifes totaly for Jesus Christ, that´s the only way. There is not other way. It´s Yes or No!
EUROPIAN churches have gone liberal. Go to a Missouri Synod Lutheran. They do not ordain gays, but can learn of God's mercy and grow in faith.

Most of the time they keep it a secrete.... this was a good video. keep it up

@ltmh2007
DependingOnJesus 1 month ago
@DependingOnJesus Why don't you agree with homosexuality, is it because the church twists bible verses to condemn us? You are aware that the bible never mentions gays right?
smurfboywv 2 weeks ago
@smurfboywv
DependingOnJesus 2 weeks ago
@DependingOnJesus That verse does not say homosexuality is a sin.
smurfboywv 2 weeks ago
@smurfboywv True. But if you read Romans chapter 1. I can give you more examples. What are you trying to get? If the bible isen't true, then my life is meaningless and everyone that follows Jesus Christ is morons, the great fools that ever lived. I have do admit that. But you see, God is true. I can even prove it by words if you want.
DependingOnJesus 1 week ago
@DependingOnJesus Romans, corinthians, and leviticus speak of idolatry, and temple prostitution, nothing more. I wish people would read entire chapters instead of a verse here and a verse there.
smurfboywv 1 week ago
@smurfboywv
DependingOnJesus 1 week ago
@DependingOnJesus In the opening chapter of Romans, Paul reminds his readers about Gentile idolatry and the shrine prostitution which accompanied it. Paul does not mention homosexuals and he does not mention lesbians. Paul’s purpose in Romans 1 is to show that everyone, Jew or Gentile, is equally guilty before a holy God. Romans 1 and homosexuality? Romans 1 is not an argument against homosexuality.
smurfboywv 1 week ago
Early Christians who lived within 100 years of Paul (like Aristides and Justin Martyr), understood that Paul was talking about shrine prostitution related to idolatry, a sin which was endemic in first century Rome.
Either God forgot to mention homosexuality when He mentioned Sodom or some modern Christians have got this issue all wrong. We know God is not forgetful so we must conclude that some modern Christians are simply wrong when they base their condemnation of homosexuality on the Bible.
smurfboywv 1 week ago
@DependingOnJesus The bible contradicts itself. The Bible is written by humans, it has flaws and is not correct.

MrSmithAaron101 2 months ago
@MrSmithAaron101 Yes, homosexuals are given the chance to believe, but they must "do the will of the Father", as Jesus says, and not just say "Lord, Lord". They must leave the acts of homosexuality. If they have the tendency, there is no sin, only a wrong inclination towards sinning. Heterosexuals also must leave sins such as living together without being married before Christ and the Church, committing adultery, pederasty, incest, bestiality, and bisexuality,in sexual sins
FRAGIORGIO1 2 months ago
@MrSmithAaron101
Rightousness is not about a feeling, it's about commiting your entire heart and life daily to God. I agree. The only thing we can boast about as Christians is that God has done for us. Turning our hearts to him and let his love speak trough us.

It's too bad that that the Church of Sweden was tied to the state, that probably explains the rapid decline of it. Before 1958 your church was alright. Bo Giertz was a good orthodox Bishop in your church. I am Lutheran as well so I will pray for your country and you as well.
HailZeon57 7 months ago
@HailZeon57 The state sponsorship of the Swedish Church is a great boulder around its neck. It must reclaim its independence from the state and the political decisions, such as approving homosexual "marriage". There is much good in that church, but they must throw off the Yoke!

DependingOnJesus 11 months ago
@Griphen84 Obviously, Satan has to attack subtly in the churches to deviate people from the Truth. Homosexuality is now being touted as a virtue. There are people who suffer from the tendency, so we must pray for them and back them up spiritually, but we must not approve that or any other deviant and immoral behavior, for both Leviticus 18 and the writings of Paul (Romans 1, I Cor 1:6, and 1 Tim 1) are quite clear and inspired by God. Priests and ministers should not be immoral.
FRAGIORGIO1 2 months ago
@FRAGIORGIO
Stay close to Jesus! Be blessed Jesus.

DependingOnJesus 1 year ago
@DependingOnJesus Hej!

Thanks.
Ask us.
desktopmarco 1 year ago

Roman8:15 Bless you
LordJesus4Ever 1 year ago
@LordJesus4Ever Only God made me the way I am - I did not choose. If I had the choice I would not be gay. Please be aware that you have learnt a point of view without ever having experienced being gay - you have no basis for your statement. You only have to become friends with a few gay guys (they will not bite you, I promise) and then listen to their life stories. Unless you are gay you cannot possibly know enough to make statements like this. Please do not be cruel to us; we are human too.
desktopmarco 1 year ago

You will live a sheltered and frustrated life if you remain so stiff.
desktopmarco 1 year ago
@desktopmarco In the name of Jesus WE, all bible believing Christians who follow the bible and believe it to be the TRUE word of God, infallible, inerrant, inspired by the Holy Spirit of God REBUKE you. DO NOT call yourself a Christian and call His word garbage. You will stand before a God who calls homosexually a sin and SEND you to HELL if you don't repent of it and put the blame where it belongs, ON YOU. Its fundamentalism that puts the lamp on a stand for all to see. I LIVE FOR JESUS DO YOU?
LordJesus4Ever 1 year ago
@LordJesus4Ever Sorry, this response is not useful as a discussion - you are saying there is no discussion - those who follow the bible must also follow the context and THINK about interpretation. And, God will judge me by his grace and by his grace alone, not by dogmatic intolerance towards my fellow men.
At least reflect on what I'm offering to you here - if you care about gaining Christian followers, stop preaching Biblical hate; instead preach Jesus ' love and share that love with all.
desktopmarco 1 year ago

What do YOU contribute by calling most of them sinners?
desktopmarco 1 year ago
@LordJesus4Ever No, all who follow Jesus are not fundamentalists, there are also those of US who THINK and are challenged everyday to place the good words in a here-and-now context. Fundamentalists are NOT the only Christians; and they will become an ever-decreasing group if they continue to operate as if real life doesn't exist. Fundamentalism must mean also that women should obey their husbands, and be stoned to death if they are raped. Women pastors are probably a sin - is that right?
desktopmarco 1 year ago
@LordJesus4Ever How many young people do you expect to enter or stay with the church if the church preaches extremism as you do? Do you know the atheist rate in Scandinavia and Finland is among the highest in the world? Get real, acknowledge that extremism pushes people away, whereas some flexibility of your interpretation will bring young people back into the church to hear and benefit from the higher level word of God and the love of Jesus. Extremism is killing religion - wake up!
desktopmarco 1 year ago
@LordJesus4Ever Please see also my replies to dgalem - if you just keep saying the Bible is to be taken literally and without question, then any discussion is not worthwhile. Also, we would all be stoning our best friends and neighbors because they ate shellfish or they wore clothes of mixed fabrics (Leviticus again).
Get real, think rather than blindly accept, but by all means do continue to spread the Gospel and the love of Jesus, not the hate of some specific passages and interpretations.
desktopmarco 1 year ago
@desktopmarco @desktopmarco I was wondering, can you show me in the bible where Jesus says its ok to be homosexual.
LordJesus4Ever 1 year ago

LordJesus4Ever 1 year ago
@LordJesus4Ever Well, I guess that is the end of our "conversation" - a pity to see young people pulled into the trap of blind faith - unable to dialogue. Unwilling to challenge yourself, using only dogma to marginalize fellow humans, having the audacity to claim THEY took the Bible out of context. My friend, I ask you to place what you read in the Bible IN CONTEXT - then you would see how you are blind to His truth.
God made me gay, Jesus loves me, and He will judge you for misrepresentation.

I do not have a choice to be gay, but you do have a choice to become a thinking person; use the intellectual and rational thought processes and the inquisitive mind God gave to you. God would be pleased if you were to do that. I'm sure he doesn't like your passive acceptance.

This often means doing things differently from non-believers.
ajatkinson2004 1 year ago
@ajatkinson2004 Thanks. I won't go to hell because I'm gay, perhaps for some other reason - we are saved only by God's grace (at least that is what us Lutherans believe). As for fitting the Gospel to society, I think that is exactly what happened when they were written - the context of the time was what got written about; I don't mean the major themes and the meaning of the message, I mean the details, the stories, the specifics - they are all contextual. Jesus spoke to help us in our context.
desktopmarco 1 year ago
@ajatkinson2004 Post #2: Having said that: I agree we may do things differently to non-believers; but the things we do based on the messages of Jesus to help humanity (social work, volunteer work, teaching, whatever) are by definition transposed contextually otherwise all we can do is preach rather than help our brothers in the real world.

excellent video, The socialisation of our church is the problem... we have the same problem in the Americas..
dgalem 1 year ago
@dgalem
How is it possible that "socialization" of your church is the problem? Please explain.
I have had the belief that the Church exists for society - to guide values, fulfill spiritual needs, build strong community; surely that is positive socialization.
Of course the church does not have a monopoly on those elements - an atheist population would hopefully develop similar characteristics, because they stem from basic human need and collective ability to self-organize in a civil manner.
desktopmarco 1 year ago
@desktopmarco it is a problem,, once you have to change God's word to fit what the Politically Correct crowd think,, it ceases to be a church,, then it is a club,, ,, oh,, LCMS Lutheran Church Missouri Synod,, german lutheran,,from the large migration to escape the pietest movement in gemany to the U.S.
dgalem 1 year ago
@dgalem Christians must honour and try to live the message of Jesus as the son of God -as far as we know what he said through the gospels and other new testament writings. If we Christians cannot accept, love, and honour all well-meaning fellow humans - then we are missing the wider meaning of Christianity for the sake of some questionable details. My church contributes to the ecumenical movement, which by definition implies acceptance of some theological differences - yet we are all Christians.
desktopmarco 1 year ago
@dgalem Thank you for explaining the LCMS - but you see that's the problem; those guys escaped from the pietist extremists of Germany at that time, so they also had theological, or perhaps real world, issues with a stricter and less accepting dogma. Now, it is they themselves who criticize other Lutheran movements for wanting to escape some strict elements in today's world.
desktopmarco 1 year ago
@dgalem As a gay I use my example - only a gay can tell you what it is like to be one and to be rejected by society and particularly by his own church. It is the church that puts rejection of fellow human beings into the minds of society - it is the church that brings parents to reject their own homosexual children and bring them to suicide. God would never accept that, Jesus' teaching transcends this kind of hate, God has it right, but unfortunately man and the church got it so wrong -so wrong.
desktopmarco 1 year ago
we have the same problem with the Lutherans here,, except LCMS I agree with most of your points (only because didn;t have time to listen to it all), Lutherans need to move back to the heritage and belief system that makes us Lutherans,,, very good video,,, also your English is fine,,, hopefully you can help bring your church back to where it should be,,, good luck

There will always be problems in every church. Humans do sin. But do we repent from the sin daily?

There is hope for the Lutheran church. There is always hope and salvation in Jesus. ;)
DependingOnJesus 1 year ago 2
@dgalem
Which Lutheran Church is LCMS?
I find Lutheran churches are quite different from place to place - but I really believe that a church must be both a stabilizing factor in a wild society, and also progressive to the extent of acknowledging and accepting people the way God made them. The Bible is full of advice we would be horrified to execute (stoning to death, slavery, women treated as second class humans, etc.); so static, dogmatic religion is inappropriate. It must also be real world.
desktopmarco 1 year ago
MyDaum 1 year ago
@MyDaum
DependingOnJesus 1 year ago
@DependingOnJesus
MyDaum 1 year ago
@MyDaum fortsätter..
MyDaum 1 year ago
@MyDaum
Aha, sant.
DependingOnJesus 1 year ago

Forts...

DependingOnJesus 1 year ago

Men accepterar du evolutionsteorin?
klonad 1 year ago
@klonad
DependingOnJesus 1 year ago

klonad 1 year ago
@klonad
@klonad

TheCricketina 1 year ago
@TheCricketina
DependingOnJesus 1 year ago

VioletKitty411 1 year ago
@VioletKitty411
Yeah, it´s wicked. But it´s coming in all churches more and more. This is not a suprise, the bible is talking about it. We have to stand up for God, not matter the cost!
DependingOnJesus 1 year ago
@VioletKitty411 No, the ELCA is not wicked, it is positively progressive, recognizing that the real world exists and focusing on the broad word of Jesus' love for all humans. One person here calls it "socializing" - well that surely is what life is all about - we form societies, live in respect of each other and love ourselves and our neighbour. ELCA does not allow sins - they simply have realized that some "sins" are not - never were.
desktopmarco 1 year ago
klonad 1 year ago
@klonad
