You can play PS2 Guitar Hero games on PS3 but the Guitar controller wont work. You can only use the PS3 regular controller. I've tried to play GH2 on my PS3 too and couldn't get the guitar working.

Jeeze, some people. In Guitar Hero 2 and 3, you can use a joypad. My girlfriend does because her hands are too small to move at a decent speed.

On the 360 version, LT = Green, LB = Red, RB = Yellow RT = Blue and A = Orange. Each button press is the same as pressing a fret and strumming. The whammy bar can also be used by waggling the left or right analogue stick. I hope that cleared things up.

Actually, if you'll notice at certain parts, the orange button is held down, but I can still hit the other notes(impossible with the guitar). Secondly, I'm playing on the ps3, and the ps3 guitar is not compatible with gh2 or gh. Before you start accusing people of lying, you should make sure you have your facts straight.

Well, notice at some parts of the video I have the X button (orange fret) held down, but I'm still able to hit the other color notes. You can only do this with the controller. Until I get a camcorder, that should suffice as proof.
