  • So nice to watch something that matches the pathetic DSL I have and doesn't freeze up.

  • Kovacs to Benny, delivered deadpan: "You? Use writers?"

    Hilarious.

  • The music died in 1959. The comedy died in 1962, when Ernie Kovacs' car crashed.

  • When geniuses collide. Nuff said.

  • I think that chick wanted a mustache ride!

  • 2 late great comedy icons Jack Benny & Ernie Kovacs are so cool.

  • in this one 8 plus minute clip are two of the eminent masters of the genre....legendary talent that is seen so rarely in this day and age. Looks, gestures phrasing that can simply make one fall on the floor in great laughter....they and their ilk are sorely missed..

  • Ernie Kovacs looks gigantic. Does anyone know how tall the two men were.

  • I think Ernie was 6 foot 2

  • Thanks. He was impressive in both talent and stature.

  • This originally aired live on January 25, 1959. It won Jack's four writers [Sam Perrin, George Balzer, Al Gordon & Hal Goldman} an Emmy award for "Best Comedy Writing of 1959".
