Weird that I recall the movie and that scene (I was so sad for the poor guy when I see the eye rolling and the tear), but it never occurred to me it was Padalecki even after my husband got me into "Supernatural." The two kids are Bo and Vincent. It is revealed near the end that Bo was the crazy thrashing one and not Vincent, who is the disfigured and talented one. That's why Carly, when trying to save her own life, keeps telling Vincent that Bo lied to him and that he is an artist.

You find out that the hillbilly truck driver is one of the brothers which means he drove them into town with the intent of getting them killed.

The puppies are mechanical. The cars on the street belong to the victims.
