  • Is this "too much" of a machine for snowmobile trail grooming?

  • @mathiastheok Given the investment in the machine, we wouldn't recommend it for trail grooming, although we've seen it used for snow removal before.

  • @WestSideTractor Thanks. I have seen a video here of one using a box blade to push snow and see that it was incredibly effective. I could see this working in a small ski resort town where the transit distances between lowing jobs would allow for driving directly to the next job.

  • that is sick

  • wow, i would love to operate one of these, is it anything like a conventional dozer?

  • @hamronD73 Blade operation is not much different, but the articulation of the machine results in different operation than a conventional dozer e.g. turning, backing up. We spend a lot of time out in the field training the operators the first time they get on the equipment so they can maximize the speed and capabilities of the machine.

  • The machine was running without the Topcon 3DMC2 on and still spread 17,000 tons of material in one day. You can fine grade at 11mph, which no other dozer on earth can do. Our customers running them have a significant bidding advantage over their competitors as a result of the machine's productivity.

  • @WestSideTractor Well now that they have 3gMC2 probably be faster and more productive to fine grade with a blade

  • So would you say it was worth the cost VS older methods? was it really that much quicker?

  • Dear Santa

  • that machine is bad ass

  • Awesome production! Great vid
