It seems your FFMPEG (libavcodec) installation lacks the following encoder:

MPEG Audio layer 1/2/3.

If you don't know how to fix this, ask for support from your distribution.

This is not an error inside VLC media player.

Do not contact the VideoLAN project about this issue.

@arthurbond26 make sure that the VLC version you are useing is Up-to-Date and also make sure you selct the approrate codec when encoding your video, if the problem continues you should contact video-lan

For one thing that's way to much to do just for a damn video. For another why the hell are you getting winblows garbage when your using Linux. Didn't your mom tell you that winblows is the worst thing to have.

thats the prob usually the flash videos are embedded so finding the url is very tough

and at what resolution is the video downloaded in???

@djofghs The youtube video is downloaded in the highest resolution avalible, if you can find the URL for another flash video, it will work. Thanks for watching!
