HLSL is a bit like working in machine code.

When things go wrong, it's very, very, hard to debug.

But when things go right, it's amazingly fast.

I've noticed HLSL looks like a language unto itself. Then again Lite-C is as well with some very interesting catches for C/C++ coders. :-/
