This will not work! In the last 6 years I have had 3 channels. If you get a copyright notice from a company and a strike against you....assuming you are not authorized to use the material.....there is only ONE WAY you MAY get your strike rescinded: Write to the party you infringed upon and ask politely for a RETRACTION. It worked once for me and am now waiting for a reply from another company. Knowing them, I doubt the bastards will reply

First of all, this is not avoiding copyright infringement. This is like saying "This is how to avoid murdering someone...Hide the evidence really well."

This phrase is not a valid reason. Fair use is to make it easy for a reviewers, parody/sketch shows, schools and new reporters to use footage without having to get permission. The word "comment" in the phrase refers to when a reviewer needs to take a segment of the work to comment on it (think of a video game review).

Say it's not for profit

Say it's for promotional purposes only (aka, promoting the band)

Put links in the description so people can purchase the song on itunes, etc, and also a link for the cd

And leave on or enable ads (if you read in the description in the settings it says to leave ads on if you don't own the material)

But it really depends on the artist/record company and whether or not they want to go through the effort of filing a paper copyright infringement dispute form

Everybody, this used to work but now it doesnt. this is why they had the last youtube update to block this trick. all videos with the trick before the update will stay, but not if you do it your account will get shut down or you will get a strike (warning).

Since youtube has made all the updates, this process literally does nothing, however in some cases it MAY un mute the video, but in other cases you may receive a copyright strike. the problem is, youtube is a for-profit website so fair use laws do not apply. Especially if you are a youtube partner earning ad revenue from the videos you post. How to avoid copyright infringement? Don't use copyrighted materials. Simple. Make your own content. Once you do, you'll find yourself feeling jipped when other people start reposting it and making money off it, money that should be yours. Easy to end up on the other side of the fence.

I don't make my own music, though. I'm not a musician. I use songs that inspire me. Songs that I think fit the mood of the pictures. Isn't the point of making music to inspire people?
