People hating on Jamie Varner are ridiculous. Varner was beating the brakes off Cerrone. And he didn't call timeout vs McCullough... The ref waited till there was a pause in the action and then gave Varner his mouthpiece back. That's how it goes in MMA any time a fighter loses his mouthpiece. Varner would definitely be a top 5 LW in the UFC and could definitely make a run towards the title.

He's not shady at all. I know firsthand that he's a cool guy and he always leaves it in the cage.

That's fair to say that he resorts to gamesmanship, but in the Cerrone fight it was a product of stamina or lack there of. Not caliber. And swear to God I thought there was something wrong with him as he was walking down the aisle before the fight. He looked like he was half asleep, possibly a sign of being drained from dehydration to cut weight. And yet he still carried the fight until the end. I've seen other fighters who were dehydrated look far more listless.

idk its hard to say, if you rewatch the fight, when Cerrone threw the knee,Varner was squatting on both feet which technically is not a downed opponent, by the time it lands Varner had 3 points of contact on the ground,which is considered "downed", wasn't Cerrone's fault..
