I still have yet to see this show, and in fact only recently heard about it. From what I've seen of this opening, and the trailer I watched, it doesn't look terribly impressive compared to the books, but I'll be looking into it anyway. I would love to see a series of movies made, much like they did with Harry Potter (only Dresden would be, by far, cooler!). Nothing will ever be as good as the books... but it would still be a pretty nice watch.
@dinsteho well if you think what would be easier to take with you in Chicago, with out getting odd looks, the hockey stick would make for a very good hidden staff. At least better then a 6.5-7 ft staff with runes on it. Also its still of a reasonable length and weight to beat on your enemies too.
