maybe a base model rsx but the type S is in a different catagory. stock type S with a real driver would run 13.5 all day. I have a cold air intake and exhaust on my type s and I run 13.2 cosistantly. And if you threw a turbo on both cars the rsx will still pull a str-4.

@thehondarider250 i think your either making things up or you just have your information confused. the new si is going to use the motor out of the tsx. its 200hp and 170ft/lbs of torque. the 3.5 liter v6 in the accord doesnt even make 275hp, its rated at 271. and 275 hp out of a n/a 2.4 is nearly impossible to get out of a production motor.

@thehondarider250 dude what are you talking about? where are you getting this information? the jdm version is not going to have 275hp. its not impossible to build a k20 that will make those numbers but you cant put it in a production vehicle because it wont pass emissions or it wont be reliable enough to mass market. the most hp honda has produced out of a production k20 was 222hp in the jdm civic type r. which they had to stop making because it couldn't meet new emission standards.
@TurboNeon185 Honda does have the motor with the most horsepower per litre (naturally aspirated). But that's in an S2000, i doubt we're going to see a better motor than that in a civic. These honda people are so defensive... As power goes though a stock cobalt ss runs 265hp at the crank, i don't know what the srt4s are, a civic si (in canada) is something like 126hp and 105ft.lbs torque. A base cavalier is 115hp and 135ft.lbs torque. Not to mention the Z24 is 150hp and 155ft.lbs torque.

mitsubishi does NOT build the engine in the srt4 or neon. the A855 is built by chrysler at the Satillo Engine plant in Ramos Arizpe, Mexico. the only part made by mitsubishi is the turbocharger (TD04LR-16Gk) and housing which was used to save space in the engine compartment. Im sick of people thinking that mitsu built the motor, people need to do research

yeah thats true, the evo 1 thru 9 used the 4G63 engine and the evo 10 uses the 4B11T. Theye both 2.0 litre (1998cc) engines. Im not sure what model the stock turbocharger is for the evo X, but Im sure its probably a little different than the SRTs turbo. Theyre probably similar in size tho. As for the previous Evo models, the turbochargers used have been different throughout the model years

@thehondarider250 i think your either making things up or you just have your information confused. the new si is going to use the motor out of the tsx. its 200hp and 170ft/lbs of torque. the 3.5 liter v6 in the accord doesnt even make 275hp, its rated at 271. and 275 hp out of a n/a 2.4 is nearly impossible to get out of a production motor.

@thehondarider250 dude what are you talking about? where are you getting this information? the jdm version is not going to have 275hp. its not impossible to build a k20 that will make those numbers but you cant put it in a production vehicle because it wont pass emissions or it wont be reliable enough to mass market. the most hp honda has produced out of a production k20 was 222hp in the jdm civic type r. which they had to stop making because it couldn't meet new emission standards.

@TurboNeon185 Honda does have the motor with the most horsepower per litre (naturally aspirated). But that's in an S2000, i doubt we're going to see a better motor than that in a civic. These honda people are so defensive... As power goes though a stock cobalt ss runs 265hp at the crank, i don't know what the srt4s are, a civic si (in canada) is something like 126hp and 105ft.lbs torque. A base cavalier is 115hp and 135ft.lbs torque. Not to mention the Z24 is 150hp and 155ft.lbs torque.

I've seen PLENTY of SRT's killing AWD's and I've even done it myself. It takes a few bolt on's and a good driver. W/ the extra drivetrain on an AWD car you add an extra couple hundred lbs. of weight. I love the GSX's but there so hard to find in good condition now a days- plus I needed to 4 doors. Grats you've got what sounds like an awsome one. But I wouldn't underestimate the SRT's engine too quickly.

mitsubishi does NOT build the engine in the srt4 or neon. the A855 is built by chrysler at the Satillo Engine plant in Ramos Arizpe, Mexico. the only part made by mitsubishi is the turbocharger (TD04LR-16Gk) and housing which was used to save space in the engine compartment. yeah thats true, the evo 1 thru 9 used the 4G63 engine and the evo 10 uses the 4B11T. Theye both 2.0 litre (1998cc) engines. Im not sure what model the stock turbocharger is for the evo X, but Im sure its probably a little different than the SRTs turbo. Theyre probably similar in size tho. As for the previous Evo models, the turbochargers used have been different throughout the model years

i may not own one but i have driven them numerous times, i know there capabilities and there limits, what can you say? well both stock nope the neon will owned, and if u r saying shit about turbo then why the k23 has 1? second the neon R/T dont have turbo and i seen them owned more civics than civics owning the R/T, and it still a DOHC 2.0l magnum engine, all motors. so stop being such a ass kiser and face there r better cars than hondas an neons. and that u r just pissed cos 90% of all hondas out there in the street are es slower than a scooter, and louder than a lawn mower end of the story.

i kno ther r better cars, 2 idk why u ever started the whole stock vs stock since racing is bout building, 2 u show me another co that is as racing inspired as honda cuz honda has always been a performance co, they wer 1st 2 start saving w8, 1st 2 hav a Vtec system that all these companies copied n they hav among the lightest bodies so they dont need all power, yet an S2K can reach more than 1000HP n honda is barely putting out there turbo, civics are in more racing than neons so fuck neons!

really? do you know who Komoto Honda was? he was the founder of Honda, he was a top F1 engineer, thats why so many F1 cars have Honda engines, he was first to develope Vtec(a way to have good bottom and top end torque) his first car was a CCVC and it was a hit, that was in the 60s, american cars were developed in the early 1900s, thats a 60 year difference, and in the low 7s was only a 5 year diff, and whats a tampoon, do you even know how to spell? do ma a favor n do research! cuz u look stupid
