Actually in the Airsimmer too, Autothrust only controls speed when in CLB mode with A/THR engaged.
When Apha protection is engaged by the bus in the video, to disengage Apha floor I disengaged the A/THR, I moved back thrust levers to manual mode (some thrust is reduced due to that. No idle neccesary), I engaged again A/THR and moved the levers to CLB mode to maintain selected speed by the autothrust.
You can see the thrust levers movements in the engine parameters.
Well, I think that I understand now your question.
The way I controlled the situation makes seem that the bus is trying to maintain speed itself with CLB mode off and A/THR on, but actually with that configuration there is no autothrust, but manual control by me :)
In that situation If I hadn't engaged CLB mode again I could maintain, increase or decrease speed manually even with A/THR engaged without problems.
In manual you see the movement of the blue bug also in the Airsimmer bus if you try to maintain speed, but in the video I actually retarded the levers enough only once to get the thrust that I need to maintain speed without doing constant movements, so in the video you don't see the blue bug moving in the video too much in manual, only to pass from CL to manual and viceversa.
one question im confused when you have authothrust on and the levers not in CLB why the authothrust controls speed in my wilco plane it controls speed when ATH/R is on and the lever is in CLB mode????

yes but i see that you doesnt have the levers in CLB thrust mode, and A/THR is on and controls speed without in CLB mode????

oh ok but the blue thing on the engine parameters shows the lever position you havent move it and had control speed manualy without moving???
