This was Addictive drums! Sounds pretty nice but costs a bit. EZ drummer as an example is cheaper but you have to do more mixing and processing to the different drums. The makers of EZ drummer also have a big version, called Superior drummer. Pirce and functionality is pretty much equal to addictive drums.
I think addictive drums was something around 200 Euro and EZ drummer 50 Euro?
With both you can get perfect results if you know how to use them!
Well, the bugera sounds very, very similar to a peavey 6505 which is a great deal considering the price of those two amps. Bugera is owned by behringer. Many people say its a cheap brand, but in fact, the bugeras are very reliable after they had a bad start at the beginning. If you buy one of them now, you wont have problems. (dont buy a used one, this could be an old one). Btw I dont know whats the difference =/
obviously i can't expect you to be able to answer any of my question if you haven't tried out any of my gear lol but thought i may as well ask just in case.
I should also add i have an sm-57 and a pretty good interface so i am assuming i'm not gettin that killer tone your gettin because of my gear.
BTW way your tune is awesome and i will def be checkin out your band.
Hate to go on but... have you tried the 333xl? preference between the two?
So yes, depends on your gear if it causes a bad sound :P Recording this music is just a special art, everything effects the sound. Guitar, Pickups, gear, mic, preamp, micposition, recording and mixing skills, but of course also the guitarist himself. but having a sm-57 and a nice interface is a good step, with this mics you can definetely get a nice sound.
Are you doubling the tracks? and how do you record? and I never tried the 333 xl =/
Yeah I double the tracks one left one right, bass in the middle. I use cubase and the same mic placement as you. I know a bit about recording / mixing as i did a two year sound engineer course so i don't think the recording is the issue... oh and i'm pretty sure i'm a good guitarist lol. No yeah i can play. I only just got myself some home recordin stuff and am not managing to produce a great sound, dunno if it's my cab or pickups or something else?
Well, I have something in mind that the speakers are the same as in the Bugera Cab. But my old lead guitarist always said that he believes they are different.
As far as I know the Behringer BG412H Cab is definetely using speakers which are named "Bugera speakers", and the pricing is very equal. Also music stores wrote in their description that BG412H are using Bugera speakers. But I'd buy the Bugera one, looks better. Or get Celestion v30. (=
Hey man i have a couple of questions on how you got that killer tone.
Q1 - I have the Bugera 6262 and the Bugera cab... is the cab you have like way better or something? I have heard that the bugera cab doesn't do the head justice.
Q2 - I use DiMarzio PAF® 7 DP759 pickups, are your EMG's way better or something? The ones i use are stock basics to be fair.
Q3 - when you say 'aimed on the left boxes (right boxes)' do you simply mean panned left n right?
Cheers! Thanks man! Yes this things are quiet amazing ;)
Well I have mine since 3-4 years I think. It had the typical "Bugera illness" about breaking after some days because of this accidentally melting parts, but now its reliable on stage and in the rehearsal room for years. I'm not really afraid it will break down soon! It survived so many rehearsals and gigs, for me it was worth the money already. I think you didn't do anything wrong with the 6260! They fixed this "illness" :P
this is sick dude, for real fuckin awesome song. im not much for deathmetal vocals so i will probably loike this version better then the one with vocals but still fuck im downloading this lol
I was going streight into a Terratec Phase 26 USB audio interface.
If you want to record with a stock sound card in normal computers, you might prefer to use "asio4all" asio drivers which provide a lower latency. but best solution is a affordable device!
So is this amp pretty versatile in the world of Metal? For example, it could do Black metal as well as the Death demonstrated in this video. I also stretch to Doom metal at times, so would this be ok do you think? :)
Well I think I cant answer your question 100% correctly as it depends on your own taste anyway.
But I think its versatility is pretty ok. The EQ responds well, you can have either tons of gain or just a soft crunch toune. Really beautiful clean sounds with single coils. BUT its not a 3-channel-amplifier. I thought it would before buying this amp, but you can only switch between "clean" and "lead" on the footboard. you have to setup on the amp if the clean is clean, or crunchy
Sounds really heavy. But the grind just isn't there. Could use some good passive pickups with a high-gain amp, such as a Bugera, upgrade to a Vintage 30 cab, or a 5150/6505 cab, and you'll notice a huge change like I did. I also put KT-77 tubes in my 6260 and it's super gnar-gnar now :)
Well, next thing I will buy (if i can afford) is a better cab! I surely will try the 6505 cab!
Was there a big noticable difference after changing the tubes to the kt-77? How about KT-88?
Heared that rob flynn from machinehead is using 5150 with kt-88's inside... But he is a freak anyway, owns 7 different 5150 and the best sounding one got a name from him... xD
@DerJust661 Yeah, my 6505 cab (Sheffield 1200 speakers) is the same as the 5150 cab, with Peavey/Sheffield 1200 speakers, and the cab can be found for $250-350. They sound very similar to a Vintage 30 cab, but not as much mid boost. But the tone.. man... SO much better than the flat tone Behringer cabs put out. Go to your local Guitar Center or Craiglist and get a used 5150/6505 cab and you won't regret it. I guarantee it. Then sell your Behringer cab for $100-150
I guess i have to try that... Already played with my bugera and a marshall 1960 cab with v30's in a changing room after a gig, so I could test it without much noises and idiots flying trough the room ^^
Sounds kickass! but I dont like that much mids so I will definitely try your advice, because for me it sounds like the 6505 cab is the perfect cab for the sound I prefer ^^
@Spectra1Beats clean is not hat awesome, but from crunch to death it's a good amp. but its definitely a high gain amp, if you want a country/funk amp, it's not your amp
Yay, well, the tracks on our myspace site had been recorded from our other guitarist so it sounds different.
Anyway, the band is not existing any longer =/
The other guy is currently studying audio engineering and we kicked out our bass player. We found good people to replace them but our drummer never had time because of playing in fucking 3 bands. and now he cut off his finger and the docs hat to remove the entire thing. So looks bad for the band at the moment :P
@DerJust661 O! Really?I'm very sorry to hear that..It's a pretty good band you've had there and it's a shame to abandon such nice tracks.It's not every day you hear riffs like these.
@DerJust661 That's cool i wish the biggest :),and will be looking up for it.Another thing - Can you tell from where can i get your album or ep online?The only thing i find is your myspace profile and it says i can't buy or download the songs.That's sad 'cause i wanted to hear more of your songs.
Thanks for the questsion. Well, a friend has the Valveking and this amp is "brighter" as the bugera, but in my opinion it doens't sound really natural, more like a transistor amp, so I would prefer the Bugera because this sound s way better. But both are no bad amps.
I dont knof if its enough for you to just turn the treble knob on the bugera so maybe you should try both. I have to say that I already had nice ACDC sounds with my 6262 over here, too. Try it =)
Of course I like to give some tips to the amplifier, personally I love the bugera and would crap on the valveking, but like I said, I know a friend who prefers the valveking instead of any other, even more expencive amplifier. so basically never buy what other idiots might like. buy what YOU like ;) I just can say if this amps are good or bad but which one you like better for the acdc sound is something you have to figure out :) good luck and cheers!
@DerJust661 It's just that "exactly" signifies that the mic sounds "just as" the SM 57, while similar means that it reflects SOME personality of the 57. Just a wierd combination of words, that's all ;) BTW, might just buy some of these. Would you say they're good for drums (toms/snare)?
Of course cheap mics will never sound as the expencive ones but they are surprisingly similar.
Regarding your question: I'm not a drummer, but I often read that she shure sm57 is really nice for overhead and snare, at least many music shops say so. Why dont u give the t.bone a try?
@DerJust661 Ok, i think i will, I've got a 57 but i can't really use it's full potential because of a shitty snare. But i'll definately check the t.bone out, i've got a few of their other mics, wich is what you pay for no more no less :)
I've already seen them on Summer Breeze here in germany ^^ Altough they are kinda young, they're style of metal is exactly the kind of deathmetal I prefer. I used to like "Deatholution" a lot! Love that beat and doublebass! But thanks man!
@Obigrobi666 hey man i want buy new head n i am thinking abaut bugera 6262 or 333xl with one u think is better?? by the wasy awesome song!!! love it>D
Well, thats a hard question. I just can say, that it depends pretty much on your taste. But my opinion is, that the 333xl has more bass and i think its way better for rock and that stuff. Could be some remake of the peavey jsx (boost button, included noise gate) The 6262 is more similar to the 6505 from peavey. I think both of them suit for nearly each kind of music, but I'd prefer the 6262 for heavy stuff! ^^ Never played the 333 though, just listened to it ^^
i didnt record that video ;) would take the 333xl, because it has a noisegate, 3 REAL channels and the clean channel is clean! (the 6260s clean channel sucks in my opinion)
Yay, yeah thats true. I didn't recall that the bugera has just 2 channels. You can just change if your clean channel is a crunch or clean. Thats a point for the 333xl.
I don't know how the 333xl's clean channel is, but the 6262's clean channel is ok, but even not killer (consider the price)
@Obigrobi666 haha yeah, but I just use that amp for death metal and such stuff.
The clean channel is used very barely by myself but its really a negative point, that you just can switch the clean channel to a crunch channle instead of having 3 seperated channles... I don't know why they did that.
nice bro, thanks for sharing, IM in the process of buying an amp with low budget and the bugera 6262 might be the one ... anyway, nice tunes there !! oh and btw what did u use to record ?
Well, I fear I cant give a good answer to your question. I'm very fixed on my death-metal.
Generally I really like the sound of the bugera and will use this amp instead of very expencive amplifiers also in future. But I really cant tell u if its usable for all kind of musics. Anyway I'm satisfied with that amplifier, still after 2 years after testing Peavey,'s Mesa's...
Well, I cant say a lot about how it sounds with such strongly downtuned strings.
I just remember, when we compared the bugera with a Rectifier-Copy, that the very deep notes had been a little bit clearer on the rectifier copy. I talk about drop A. So I could imagine that there might be better amplifiers for 8 strings. But generally I owned a 6505 and the bugera, and they sound similar. So if you like the 6505, I think u also like that amp! Hope that helps :)
Unfortunately the band is not existing any longer. I joined a Melo-Death band with our drummer but this guy cut off his finger so we had a start without many rehearsals :P
I just can say --> Now, after ONE MORE YEAR, my bugera is still living, no problems. The only prob I had is that the Numbers around the knobs get scratched off if you turn the knob very very often. But I dont need the numbers either. Have a great weekend!
@DerJust661 excellent, I was looking for your album too, the cover art is sick as was the songs that is one criticism I hear often about Bugera and others is that they have problems or electrical issues always. I think it is subjective- many people just fuckin thrash their equipment around so its gonna have breaks, duh. Taking care of equipment= longevity
I agree with your opinion! I think that people should decide by theirselfes, whether they pay a lot for a peavey 6505 (whats actually my favourite amp) or buy a bugera and just take a bit more care about the amp and save a LOT of money... The problem was, that they acidentially built in some unreliable parts, but in the new series you have better parts and since that point there are no complaints about bugeras reliability anymore. Peavey or Bugera - both nice!
This amp sounds nearly exactly like a peavy. Want to see someone who can hear a difference in two well recorded audio samples. Either he grindtastic ears, or he just had luck ;)
If you like the peavey sound, its a perfect amp. If you prefer the rectifier sound that everyone has, leave your hands from it.
Hehe thanks! Cannibal Corpse is my favourite death metal band and I'm listening nearly all the time to them... Maybe they influenced that song a bit ^^
I've seen them on Summer Breeze this year, they havent been in germany for a long time but I finally saw them. Hehe
@DerJust661 i bought this amp yesterday i really dont know why people hate it its sounds sooooooo metal! maybe they just can't handle the awesomeness of this amp hahaha
@emperorofthenorth5 so fucking true man. I can never play live without it, however one show i played, my rack EQ fucked up so i had to play with out my sonic max in my 5150. check the vid on my channel --bonfire show--
Great work! sounds good. Nice tight riffing as well! I was considering getting some behringer SM57 rip off pencil mikes for Recording amps, i've used 57's on acoustic guitars before and they've sounded great...but would you say your 57 rip off captured the sound of the amp accurately?
Well, I'm not a recording pro but I've seen some clip from a guy who recorded with both mics on exactly the same position and the shure rip off sounds really similar. But the shure captured some more heights so you could hear some more clearity. Well, but my rip off is from t.bone, the brand of a big music store in germany. I dont know if they are comparable with those behringer rip offs of the shure sm57 =/ So the original shure was slightly better as the rip off
Of course I'm not saying this is bad amplifier. It's good for "poor people" that just wants to rock on. But comparing it to Peavey seems a bit...funny. No offence mate, btw. great song.
@BulletProofCupid7 definitely have to disagree with you; you can check my channel, i managed to get a fantastic sound out of my 6262..alot of it ahs to do with dialing it in, and of course, choosing a good cab and good guitar.
Depends on your taste ;) Go play some Triple rectifiers just because everyone playes them :D I play this amp because I really prefer its tone.... And I dont give a fuck about ur opinion anyway. But thanks for sharing :D
The head 500€. I dont know the exactly price anymore and in the internet it looks like not one single musicstore is offering this cab any longer.
But pretty much around 800,00€ ~ 1,109.00 US dollars
Do you know what a peavey 6505 or a laboga mr hector costs in the states?
It seems like u guys have kinda cheap cars, so maybe the amps are cheap as well? :P In germany you can always pay thousands more for a car as in the states :P
@DerJust661 wow, heads always are cheaper then the cabs here but yeh, our cars may be cheaper but ones like mine (ford focus) are a waste of money, just had that piece of shit fixed. thanks for the reply
Actually theres a huge difference between bugera and peavey. First the risk of fault. I know shitloads of people that returned their bugera's after few weeks. There was so alot of technical issues. You must be lucky to choose the "good" one. Second the tone. Turn bugera's power amp over 5 and it's characteristic stops changing. It just gets more muddy. Third it's just a copy of 6505+. I actually own 6505 and as for me its definitely worth 1300€ . The sound is way better than 6260.Not just 5%
Bullshit dude. you probably never owned a Bugera 6262. The fault just appeared in the first series of this amp produced in 2008. They took bad parts accidentially. Im playing my amp with the fixed part version for over 2 years, still working great, great sound etc.
1. It doesn't depend on the amplifier whether a guitarist has skill or not.
2. I like the tone and with my bugera 6262 there was NO difference in the lead channel compared to a 6505.
@DerJust661 I have owned bugera 6260. In fact the older model but still i sold it pretty fast and bought peavey 6505. Why? Beause of the tone. Ad.1 It actually does, you'll never sound like 6505 on little fender super champ combo even if your guitar god. Ad.2 There is actually a huge difference, the point is that you actually never owned 6505 and you have no idea what this amp can do. I sold my old bugera to my pal from my band so i have the comparison of these two amps every weekend.
@DerJust661 oh and, i agree that Bugera make good amplifiers, I'm not saying they sound like shit. Just the thing is that copy(bugera) of something will never be as great as the original stuff(peavey). Like you'll never get the sound of ENGL Powerball if you've got just 200$. This is impossible. You can get close but never sound the same.
because ... honestly , i like what i hear from the bugeras so far . Plus , it's behringer , they're the king of cheap-but-totally-decent stuff . Had a mixer for 5 years now from them , it took so much abuse ... and still , it works .
Makes me think behringer makes actual good stuff . It ain't vampire behringer stuff , it's tube amp ... and i think it's worth a try .
After months of saving I get to order the 333XL head today!!! It was a tough choice between that and the 6262, but the 333XL seems like it has more options.
Well, I think the included noisegate in the 333xl is pretty nice, too. The 333xl has kinda more bass. I know that the 6262 is equal to the 6505 from peavey, but I dont really know which amp should be presented by the 333xl. I thought about the peavey triple x, but I'm not sure. Well, if you bought your amp yesterday you dont have to be afraid that it will break down. The bad parts were just used in the very first series of the Bugera 6262's.
@DerJust661 From what I've read, the 333XL is supposed to, cosmetically, equal the Peavey JSX or the Triple X, but apparently sounds a bit more like a Mesa Rectifier. I've always wanted a 6505/5150, but I've been more drawn to the 333XL, largely due to the included noise gate and separate EQ for the Clean and the Crunch channel. The 'XL' boost has me interested as well.
@DerJust661 I just got it in the mail (finally), I really like it. There's a demo of it on my channel . The noisegate works okay, but it doesn't really do a ton. It definitely won't replace the Boss NS-2 for example, so I'm saving up for one of those 'cuz it gets kinda noisy haha.
@DeathMetalAngel123 i recommend an ISP Technologies Decimator. its about 130 new, but it works beautifully. you can check out my channel to hear my 6262 being played with it in the loop.
Is this thing kinda similar do a Sonic Maximizer from BBE?
Im Using this to ticke out some clearity from my tone, they also use the maximizer in many radio stations and recording studios so I got the rack version and plugged that thing into my fx loop. Sounds really great.
@DerJust661 no, the decimator is a noise gate, the best one you can get from what ive seen. i also have a sonic maximizer, pedal version, and it does seem to clear things up a bit.
When I recorded this amp I just used a noise gate. I tried many different stuff and found my uber-tone:
Guitar trough an Ibanez weeping demon, trough an Ibanez Elephant Compressor, into a Maxon OD 808 to boost the signal and getting nicer tone and palm muted notes, trough the noise gate into the amp. 90% Machine Head sound, clear and very nice!
Yeah thats true... But in this vids there is just a shitty guitar, a shitty microphone and a shitty cab used, without any pedals. But seriously, the mesas and peaveys on stage of good guitar player get their GOOD sound because of 2 importand things:
1. The good guitar player who plays uses the mesa or peavy
2. and the pedals used to create the unique sound.
The same guitarist with a bugera would get a fucking great sound, too. Especially if you consider the price of the amp.
Can you get a pretty brutal highattack tone like Winds Of PLague from this thing? I really want an Engl Fireball, but I can't afford it, so I was looking at buying the Bugera or trying to get a used 5150/6505
Well, you can get this brutal sounds but you have to know that this bands have a lot of effects between the guitar and amp. Also the recorded sound is different to the live sound of the amp. I think for this sound you need a tight noise gate and some overdrive or distortion pedal like Maxon od 808 in front of the amp to boost it. I think the character of the amps sound will be slightly different.
In your case I would look for a old used, but good 6505/5150
our second guitarist in the band plays a laney cab, but he changed the speakers with celestion v30. I have the stock Behringer Ultrastack BG412H Cab. The Cab is ok for the price but at the moment I'm looking forward to buy a good Marshal 1960 Cab with celestion V30 because they sound really nice!
Well, I played this amp on a gig with a 4x12 Marshall 1960 box with celestion vintages. Uber. But I dont know how the Mg412 Cabs are. But this amp used on good marshal cabs is just killer. I'm asking how this thing sounds on a Mesa or Engl cab...
is this better than the peavy 6505 for deathcore? i like pinches which i need mids for and the trem riffs n triplets, but i also like jamming with lots of heavy power chords and mids wreack that mor me, i need to turn the mids right down it sucks, can either of the amps have a nice happy medium?
Thanks for your comment. Well, this amp is not better as a peavey 6505, but even not worse. They soudn exactly similar. I compared this amp with a 5150, with a 6505 plus and one week ago with the new 5150 III
The sound also depends of your stile of playing, your strings, the wood, pickups. With a good guitar you of course can get your deathcore sound. This amp is good for nearly each type of music, especially metal. Gain and warm tube-sound on mass.
@DerJust661 Ahhh, Behringer ... Sad, cuz we don't need cheaper 5150/6505 copy, we need something NEW. They are close in sound but it's nothing special about that Berhinger/Bu(r)gera. No resonance knob , which I like (copyrighted by Peavey) and added DIGITAL reverb (blah) doesn't create an original amp in the market. I hope that customers stop to blame the price of stuff. That move mean less quality, more cheap-crap-tube-amp for poor, less new real amps ideas. And ... china.
True, but Im glad that I was able to buy this cheap bugera with the same sound of a peavy because this is a possibility for beginners to get real sound and bad quality for less money. if you are a pro musician you have money for good amps and you can buy the expencive ones. No question, some day I will own a rectifier or a bogner uberschall, but as long I dont have money I will use the cheap amps with nearly the same sound. But you are right, the industry has to develop new amps!

Most welcome!
So u r a neighbour ^^ cool!

So yes, depends on your gear if it causes a bad sound :P Recording this music is just a special art, everything effects the sound. Yeah I double the tracks one left one right, bass in the middle. I use cubase and the same mic placement as you.

If you want to record with a stock sound card in normal computers, you might prefer to use "asio4all" asio drivers which provide a lower latency. but best solution is a affordable device!

I used nothing to boost the amp. Guitar going trough a noise gate directly into the bugera. Distirtion is just from the amp itself.

So is this amp pretty versatile in the world of Metal? For example, it could do Black metal as well as the Death demonstrated in this video. I also stretch to Doom metal at times, so would this be ok do you think? :)
dragonclaw13 9 months ago
Hi!
Cheers!
DerJust661 9 months ago
Sounds really heavy. But the grind just isn't there. Could use some good passive pickups with a high-gain amp, such as a Bugera, upgrade to a Vintage 30 cab, or a 5150/6505 cab, and you'll notice a huge change like I did. I also put KT-77 tubes in my 6260 and it's super gnar-gnar now :)
quinnmyster 10 months ago
@quinnmyster
Haha ossom!
Well, next thing I will buy (if i can afford) is a better cab! I surely will try the 6505 cab!
Was there a big noticable difference after changing the tubes to the kt-77? How about KT-88?
Heared that rob flynn from machinehead is using 5150 with kt-88's inside... But he is a freak anyway, owns 7 different 5150 and the best sounding one got a name from him... xD
thanks for the hint!
DerJust661 10 months ago
@DerJust661 Yeah, my 6505 cab (Sheffield 1200 speakers) is the same as the 5150 cab, with Peavey/Sheffield 1200 speakers, and the cab can be found for $250-350. They sound very similar to a Vintage 30 cab, but not as much mid boost. But the tone.. man... SO much better than the flat tone Behringer cabs put out. Go to your local Guitar Center or Craiglist and get a used 5150/6505 cab and you won't regret it. I guarantee it. Then sell your Behringer cab for $100-150
quinnmyster 10 months ago
@quinnmyster
nice!
I'll give it a try!
Thanks and cheers from germany!

So looks bad for the band at the moment :P

wich is better for hard rock and metal?
what do you think between this 2 options: peavey valveking100 or bugera333xl??
please help me. I'm searching for a sound range between AC/DC (live), W.A.S.P and megadeth. I like bright in the distortion.

@sementalinchains
Hi!
Try it =)

@DerJust661 thanks for your answer! i will follow your advice.

Would you say they're good for drums (toms/snare)?
killer950211 1 year ago
@killer950211
Yeah yeah, sorry for my bad english! xD
Of course cheap mics will never sound as the expencive ones but they are surprisingly similar.
Regarding your question: I'm not a drummer, but I often read that she shure sm57 is really nice for overhead and snare, at least many music shops say so. Why dont u give the t.bone a try?
Cheers!
DerJust661 1 year ago
@DerJust661 Ok, i think i will, I've got a 57 but i can't really use it's full potential because of a shitty snare. But i'll definately check the t.bone out, i've got a few of their other mics, wich is what you pay for no more no less :)

@Alphalidel
Thanks man!
^^ Never played the 333 though, just listened to it ^^
Cheers!
DerJust661 1 year ago
@Alphalidel
i didnt record that video ;) would take the 333xl, because it has a noisegate, 3 REAL channels and the clean channel is clean! (the 6260s clean channel sucks in my opinion)
Obigrobi666 1 year ago
@Obigrobi666
DerJust661 1 year ago
@DerJust661
i heard a sample of the clean channel here on youtube . it was pretty cool.
the only thing i miss is a switch for clean/crunch. i really like the crunch channel of the 6260 - even more that the distorted one.
Obigrobi666 1 year ago
@Obigrobi666 haha yeah, but I just use that amp for death metal and such stuff.
The clean channel is used very barely by myself but its really a negative point, that you just can switch the clean channel to a crunch channle instead of having 3 seperated channles... I don't know why they did that.

Well, I fear I cant give a good answer to your question. I'm very fixed on my death-metal.

yo i got a question.
is this amp good for a bruta djent 8 string guitar player?
thanks :)
AintEasySkatinSteezy 1 year ago
@AintEasySkatinSteezy
Hey dude!

I just can say --> Now, after ONE MORE YEAR, my bugera is still living, no problems. The only prob I had is that the Numbers around the knobs get scratched off if you turn the knob very very often. But I dont need the numbers either. Have a great weekend!
DerJust661 1 year ago
@DerJust661 excellent, I was looking for your album too, the cover art is sick as was the songs that is one criticism I hear often about Bugera and others is that they have problems or electrical issues always. I think it is subjective- many people just fuckin thrash their equipment around so its gonna have breaks, duh. Taking care of equipment= longevity
emperorofthenorth5 1 year ago
@emperorofthenorth5 Nice! Thanks!
DerJust661 1 year ago
This amp sounds nearly exactly like a peavy. Want to see someone who can hear a difference in two well recorded audio samples. Either he grindtastic ears, or he just had luck ;)
If you like the peavey sound, its a perfect amp. If you prefer the rectifier sound that everyone has, leave your hands from it.

Hehe nice!
Wise choice ;)
I was looking for some effects to get a more unique sound... Im Using a Maxon OD 808 to boost the signal --> tighter and nicer palm muted notes.
BBE Sonic Maximizer --> Much clearer and nicer sound but its different as just cranking up the "high" knob.
And different effects liek delay etc, which do not effect the main tone of this amplifier.
Im often asked by guitarists how I get my sound. They often dont believe that this amp is that cheap ^^ nice!
DerJust661 1 year ago
@DerJust661 the BBE sonic maximiser is essential! it improves tone and crunch by 40-50%

Great work! sounds good. Nice tight riffing as well! I was considering getting some behringer SM57 rip off pencil mikes for Recording amps, i've used 57's on acoustic guitars before and they've sounded great...but would you say your 57 rip off captured the sound of the amp accurately?
tekkentool 1 year ago
@tekkentool
Hey, thanks!

@DerJust661 Does this amp make the classic super gain california sounds, like a rectifier? Or is it more of a poor mns peavey?
Roflzmahwoflz 1 year ago
Actually theres a huge difference between bugera and peavey. First the risk of fault. I know shitloads of people that returned their bugera's after few weeks. There was so alot of technical issues. You must be lucky to choose the "good" one. Second the tone. Turn bugera's power amp over 5 and it's characteristic stops changing. It just gets more muddy. Third it's just a copy of 6505+. I actually own 6505 and as for me its definitely worth 1300€ . The sound is way better than 6260.Not just 5%
BulletProofCupid7 1 year ago
@BulletProofCupid7
Cheers
DerJust661 1 year ago
@DerJust661 I have owned bugera 6260. In fact the older model but still i sold it pretty fast and bought peavey 6505. Why? Beause of the tone. Ad.1 It actually does, you'll never sound like 6505 on little fender super champ combo even if your guitar god. Ad.2 There is actually a huge difference, the point is that you actually never owned 6505 and you have no idea what this amp can do. I sold my old bugera to my pal from my band so i have the comparison of these two amps every weekend.
BulletProofCupid7 1 year ago
@DerJust661 oh and, i agree that Bugera make good amplifiers, I'm not saying they sound like shit. Just the thing is that copy(bugera) of something will never be as great as the original stuff(peavey). Like you'll never get the sound of ENGL Powerball if you've got just 200$. This is impossible. You can get close but never sound the same.
BulletProofCupid7 1 year ago
@BulletProofCupid7 wondered : bugera 333XL or triple XXX peavey ?
because ... honestly , i like what i hear from the bugeras so far .

DeathMetalAngel123 1 year ago
@DeathMetalAngel123
Hehe very nice!
DerJust661 1 year ago
@DerJust661 From what I've read, the 333XL is supposed to, cosmetically, equal the Peavey JSX or the Triple X, but apparently sounds a bit more like a Mesa Rectifier. I've always wanted a 6505/5150, but I've been more drawn to the 333XL, largely due to the included noise gate and separate EQ for the Clean and the Crunch channel. The 'XL' boost has me interested as well.
DeathMetalAngel123 1 year ago
@DerJust661 I just got it in the mail (finally), I really like it. There's a demo of it on my channel . The noisegate works okay, but it doesn't really do a ton. It definitely won't replace the Boss NS-2 for example, so I'm saving up for one of those 'cuz it gets kinda noisy haha.
DeathMetalAngel123 1 year ago

DerJust661 1 year ago
@DerJust661 no, the decimator is a noise gate, the best one you can get from what ive seen. i also have a sonic maximizer, pedal version, and it does seem to clear things up a bit.

@ChicagoBearsFan08
Hi!
In your case I would look for a old used, but good 6505/5150

what kind of laney cabinet are you using??? or behringer?? for your guitar
Torqueofficial 1 year ago
@Torqueofficial
Hehe thanks!
our second guitarist in the band plays a laney cab, but he changed the speakers with celestion v30. I have the stock Behringer Ultrastack BG412H Cab. The Cab is ok for the price but at the moment I'm looking forward to buy a good Marshal 1960 Cab with celestion V30 because they sound really nice!

Im poor, ahahaa. And the only cab I got is a Marshall Mg412. Would this amp head work for this cab?
BeanersCanLikIt 1 year ago
@BeanersCanLikIt
Hi and thanks!
Well, I played this amp on a gig with a 4x12 Marshall 1960 box with celestion vintages. Uber. But I dont know how the Mg412 Cabs are. But this amp used on good marshal cabs is just killer. I'm asking how this thing sounds on a Mesa or Engl cab...

is this better than the peavy 6505 for deathcore? i like pinches which i need mids for and the trem riffs n triplets, but i also like jamming with lots of heavy power chords and mids wreack that mor me, i need to turn the mids right down it sucks, can either of the amps have a nice happy medium?
crowquill777 1 year ago
@crowquill777
DerJust661 1 year ago
@DerJust661 Ahhh, Behringer ... Sad, cuz we don't need cheaper 5150/6505 copy, we need something NEW. They are close in sound but it's nothing special about that Berhinger/Bu(r)gera. No resonance knob , which I like (copyrighted by Peavey) and added DIGITAL reverb (blah) doesn't create an original amp in the market. I hope that customers stop to blame the price of stuff. That move mean less quality, more cheap-crap-tube-amp for poor, less new real amps ideas. And ... china.
Kubakpsv 1 year ago
@Kubakpsv
DerJust661 1 year ago
Great job! It's good to see you don't need three grand worth of equipment to get a nice metal sound.
