I don't think she was ever a mean dog, she was only acting aggressive out of fear at the beginning. She looks like a pure pitbull to me. It might be harder to get her a home sadly, but there are great people who will gladly take one of these dogs. Try to just feed her dog food though. I'm not sure if cat food is the best thing, but I understand that it was all you had.

I think you should keep her and try not to put her out front of your house. She might run away or something so just put her in your back yard. It would also be a good idea to feed her up before you leave her at that condition.
