Thanks! I never actually played anything higher than an octave in this song, and I don't think you'll find much music anywhere where you need to play an interval larger than an octave with one hand.

It's a little uncomfortable at first, but your fingers will become more flexible quickly and you'll get better :D

This is strictly my opinion, but maybe after about 0:08 lift off and stop using it.

I think it also has largely to do with the pedal interfering with the sound recording. So while the pedal might sound great to someone who's actually in the room, I think it hurts the quality that the camera captures overall.

Just my thoughts.

Haha, ruining it with the pedal? ;) I assumed if anything ruined it, it would be my sloppy playing. I never really considered the fact that I could be overusing it though - I do generally lift up the pedal between measures. Could you please point out specific instances in this video where I overuse it so I can avoid doing it in the future?

The recording sounds pretty good to me too, the bass is slightly more dominant but its very clear overall.

I'm a total newb at piano, but then I've only got a 2 octave midi keyboard to practice on, it's not really the same haha :p
