@epicfantasy Hi i have a problem ,want to cast some warhammer miniatures specialy a horse but dont know how.Bretonian knight and horse.Specialy horse is little complicated to make a modle out of him,to put him into pieces or whole horse to make a modle? Please help :-)
Would you advise using a different molding material, If you want pieces to be come out red or in different colors. I am trying to create different pieces for the game risk which has different color pieces.
@fucktard435345345353 Great question. I looked through the manufacturers booklet on this stuff. Nothing about adding colors. i don't think you can add colors to this product before molding. Great project. Love Risk
THIS IS AWESOME! thanks stormthecastle! Although i live in France and i really cant find this kind of rubber :(.. Also I'd like to make my own multi part miniatures games workshop style (and sell some :3 ) but does it mean I'd have to "build" the sprues with the gates etc? Also, does the rubber stick to the paper?
hi thanks to yu¡our video i'm thinking about buying the Moldmaking & Casting Pourable Starter Kit. how many casts of one figure (30mm scale) can you make with the plastic mix provided aproximately? thanks awsome tutorial!
I use a similar technique, with a bit more work in the clay, although the end result is to pour metal into the mold. the silicone is more than capable of handling the low temps of white metal. I've made duplicates of greens as well as copies of commercial pieces like GW for my own use. Only use your powers for good!
mwahahah! my miniature empire starts today!! no longer shall i pay for overpriced cadians from games workshop! by the way is it possible to make a large mold with like..... 10 guys at a time?
@infintry2 I am not sure how large you can make the mold. But definitely start out with a single figure mold. You are going to need the practice, and the learning how to do it.
Does the two-part method work as well if, instead of building up the sprue with toothpicks from a single miniature, I used the sort of flat premade sprue, for instance the way GW plastic multipart miniatures come in the box?
Hi, I'm thinking about making casts of GamesWorkshop Steel Legion miniatures which are metal, but I want to make plastic replicas to save cash due to schooling and such.
@XxXFreedomvideos Thing is with that. People with knowledge that steel legion are metal and then lo and behold, they're actually lighter than metal then they'll obviously realise they're fake. But it does depend on who cares and who doesn't.
@YuiHisaishi It's expensive, going to cost you around a total of 40 dollars. But with the amount of plastic you probably could make 50 or more miniatures.
If you check out my channel, you will see that I am a paper crafter at heart. I can't remember when I first started watching your videos, it might have been the Xmas one with the Xbox. And, although I really could never see myself making the things that you do (I'm just not that talented), but I appreciate your spirit of giving and sharing what you know and putting all of these videos together. I don't know if everyone out here knows what all is involved here with what you do but I love it.
@HumaKaVoola8900 I am not sure, depends on the ability of this kind of rubber to tolerate the heat of the melted pewter. The rubber (RTV) is made by a company called Smooth-On. Could check their website.
I haven't done any molds yet, but have to learn in the coming months. My question: what about setting up a larger container around the mold that one can plug a vacuum cleaner hose into to help kill any air bubbles? Is it better to do that just after the rubber is mixed or once it is poured, or both times?
I realize the container would have to be very air tight to create the vacuum needed to pull the air out of the rubber, but it seems relatively feasible w.o getting a proper pressure pot.
I wonder if this can be applied to a latex play bullet. I wanna make a fair sized rubber/latex roundball for target shooting in my airgun. I got the latex, but now I just need the mold. This video is pretty great dude!
can u make a exact list of what i need

could i use the spare plastic from the sprues? melt it down and pour it in? or does it have to be specialist plastic mix?
MrKoiking1 1 month ago
@MrKoiking1 I am not sure about how much effort/heat it takes to melt down those sprues. Might cause a toxic fume or something.
epicfantasy 1 month ago
@epicfantasy yeah thats what i was thinking. ill just use them to make some sort of partially made building or something, or scafolding.
MrKoiking1 1 month ago
Thank you for posting this video. I've been trying to figure out how to do this.

I get my dremel and set it to it's highest setting and put it on my table, it turns my desk into an instant vibration table!
Great videos btw! I wish I saw this a year ago, I wouldn't have to learn from my mistakes!

GrizzlyBear672 11 months ago
@GrizzlyBear672 I use stuff from a company called smooth-on. I also use their brand of mold release. It comes all together in a kit.
