hmmm, sadly shadows done work for me. i just get this big box with shit loads of straight lines in it following me around. i can run it on high too except for shadows. what the heck is going on?
I HAVE Intel Core DUO CPU E4300 @ 1.80GHz 4gb RAM and NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 260+ 896MB graphics card......I TRY 2 PLAY D GAME....BUT....AFTER SUMTIMES D GAME SHUTS DOWN AUTOMATICALLY...D WHOLE THING SHUTS DOWN...EVEN D MONITOR.....BUT NT D CPU......AND A MESSAGE FLASHES ON MA SCREEN....NO VIDEO INPUT.......PLSSS HELP ME FIND OUT D PROBLEM AND SOLVE IT...THNXXXXX
Forgot to ask, what do you think of the 9600GT card? I know it can't compare to the power of an 8800GTX but laptops with that card were WAY out of my price range and a laptop is what I have to have for my situation.
It is my understanding from reviews that tested the card that even the regular 9600GT (non-laptop) scores just below the 8800GT so I would think it would be even more under the 8800GTS.
Beautiful! Looks like the 640mb 8800GTX was a good choice to say the least.
I have CW but I am waiting for my new laptop to come in with the 512MB 9600GT card. I am hoping it will have a bit of improvement over my past one which was the 8600GS. I could only run Crysis on medium. Bought Warhead while in between so have not tried it yet.
LOVE your tweak guides and I bought the Vista guide and recommend it to anyone who will listen. lol

The 9600GT would beat the 8800GTS 640, but the laptop ones are obviously less powerful.

The 8800GTS 640mb is based off of the G80 core, where as the 9600GT is G92(or was it G94), the 8800GT is G92.
Laptops might be slightly differnet, but the 640 G80 is less powerful than the 9600 and 8800.

There is no 640mb 8800"GTX", he uses a 8800GTS 640, which is the G80 core.
