This Song was played over and over by our Locale Radio Station for almost a year in the 70ths, So i thought i would listen to it one more time in the 20ths to see if my first impretion had change at all. I still feel it is the worse Song i ever heard. I dont know why our Station played it so much. Its alot worser than Baby dont get hook on me

Yeah, I do have a mental disorder. I was diagnosed with clinical depression and I worked through it. Mental disorders don't necessarily mean that someone is demented, There's a lot of stigma, and the disorders themselves are very hard to live with without critical comments, thanks.

And abusing drugs means that you're not supposed to be taking them, while I'm taking mine with doctor's orders. This song really played on my mind. I had met a girl and had fallen for her in a big way. we ended up having a little girl. Religious differences between our families caused us to split up. I didn't have the intestional fortitude to stand up against the family. This song would play each morning as I went to work and knew what I had missed out on

I am a huge Paul Anka fan but if you have seen him in concert lately, he has changed this song entirely. I watched an interview with Paul many years ago and he vowed never to change the lyrics but he caved in. The politically incorrect verses were deleted entirely and the song is now "Having our Baby." What a shame. A song like this could never be a hit today but that is no excuse to censor and edit a really beautiful tune.
