I can't decide which concert to play:This one or the Wieniawski 2nd violin concerto...i truly love both pieces....just that the wieniwski may have a few difficulties:-?...so i think i'll go with this one xD..but i'm still not sure..:p...i like this recording very much,I think Szeryng's interpretation fits best to my expectations and my ideas gathered around about this piece...

I hope there can be an upload of Szerying's Brahms Sonatas 2 & 3 with Artur Rubinstein. I have heard so many versions and played it with violinists myself..and I can't think of any performance better than their partnership. Warmth, Fire, Details, Grand Line, Tone, Spontaneiety, Musicality, Elegance, Rythmic life, Subtlety, Singing lines..i don't have enough words..
this is a beautiful interpretation. others i find to be a bit to cold, but szeryng totally kept the romantic vibe while stylizing the phrases. stunning!
Szeryng is on the way to becoming my favorite violinist... I hadn't heard of him until a few months ago, but since then I've become a little obsessed with his Bach recordings. And this one is great too! He's a tad bit awesome. =)
I heard Szeryng's recording of Bach's Sonatas & Partitas for the first time in 1994 by recomendation from YOUR FATHER!! haha!
That year I traveled to Switzerland to study with him for a summer in Stoos, and actually remember you playing arround and studying cello with maestro Chavez!!
The world is a small town. Say hello to your family!!
Is a very good version, Szeryng is one of my favourites, I´ve never heard the Lalo Symphonie by him. I have a version by Isaac Stern, the tempo a bit fast. Thank you
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! I have been searching for this rare treasure for half of my life, and here it is restored on YouTube thanks to you. There has never been a better performance of this great piece, IMO. All of Szeryng's work for RCA should be restored; his Brahms Concerto with Monteux and the LSO is also the greatest performance of that work I have ever heard and I would be thrilled if you could provide that for us too.
Thanks very much! What did you use for transferring this record? I hear a couple of clicks (so you did not de-click it), but so few, the record must be in good condition...

Henryk Szeryng is my violin teacher's teacher!!!!! :O
I've had this on a CD from when I started this piece, and I was SO shocked to see it on YouTube O.O
Szeryng is THE Bach guy - I've been listening to his recordings (provided by my violin teacher) for a while and each one is impeccable.

it is a perfect recording except from the fact that the orchestra is not always synchronised with soloist-god
