  • buen argumento; buenas imágenes; buena banda sonora;... ¡¡Ánimo!!...

  • looks like you shot all this with only one camera

  • How did you get that look ?

  • yeah I'd like to know that to. I'm thinking of getting a used XL-1 and this is the best looking footage I've seen so far.

  • this is an amazing short. i didnt expect it all to come together like that great job

  • very nice, would you recomend the canon xl1? what effects did you use, colour correction?

  • GO XL2 MAN! it rocks.

  • very very nice

  • Amazing film, the split screen really makes it a different kind of movie. Very abstract. What export settings did you use to post on youtube, the quality is better than most videos on here.

  • I Liked really, quite GOOD, enough expression, ohh yeah GOOD, Thank you for ALL..............

  • whats the name of this song? WHO AM I...?

  • perfect :)

  • did you use any adapters? or just the standard lense?

  • really nice.

    loved the cinematography.

  • STUDIO X ;)

  • Very, very nice job.

  • Nice idea, brought in a visually interesting way. But I didn't really like your choice of putting a song over the complete film, which made it look like a video-clip. You could've really done alot here with the audio instead! Nontheless, good movie in general!

  • I think only using one song was a great idea. The music is pretty much the only thing connecting the two separate clips. It makes them seem like they're happening at the same time, which is what's so clever about this film. A normal 'film score' wouldn't have worked for this.

  • its called continuity haha but yeah they did a good job

  • reaaalllllyyy good ;D ;***

  • Ooooooooh, I've heard this music somewhere before! Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...

    Genius film, by the way.

  • Massive Attack

  • Peace Orchestra - who am i

  • upss, i guess im wrong ;p

  • Hmm just curious... You've used PAL XL1 or NTSC? Your post is really good and you've made that nice film-like feel. The NTSC version uses 30F while PAL only 25F which looks more cinema-like... Any suggestions on how to achieve that kind of result? ;) Very nice peace of work though...

  • They useing a Pal version of that camcorder.

  • there are two kinds of amateur filmmaking, either completely shit...or breathtaking! Needless to say what you have produced, i am very impressed, subtle acting, no corny dialogue, good use of light, good story line, the split screen works for me as there isn't a clash of simultaneous importance at any one time, its ***** from me :D

  • WOW is all i have to say !lol

  • Awesome! I just picked up an XL1 and have had a great time with it. Now that's something to 'shoot' for.

  • Wo.. that's all I have to say. this film was amazing 5/5. Does the xl1 film in 24p?

  • not exactly 24p but progressive

  • It was very well done, my only complaint is that trying to watch two different videos detracts from the viewing in my opinion, it's to much for one person to handle at a time. But very well shot, nice story, editing, audio. bravo on the techinical and acting and stuff.

  • excellent!

  • well done

  • great movie well done, sounds really make it too, can you please tell me what format you gave gave this to you tube because quality is great. many thanks

  • That was awsome

  • Grt! concept and delivery to digital

  • One of the best shorts I've seen. Nice job!

  • nice, man!

  • very very nice I liked this video alot. I'm planning to do some independent films later on in highschool/college & I'd like to know-

how much did the movie cost?

was there alot of lighting involved or was it natural?

is there a better option than the XL1/XL2 avaliable or going to avaliable in the future?(DV cameras only)

how long was the production time? post + pre

and what was the general reaction to your independent film?

    -cheers

fellow movie enthusiast and future director/filmmaker

  • :)

    the movie costed 0$

this is a home made movie with no money put in it, exept for buying the tapes and some pizza, beer for shooting :D

for lighting we used two 30 cm neons, its very handy.

as far as im concerned, the best DV camera is the XL2 :D HDV the XLh1, but this is just my opinion :)

we shot this movie for 2 days, 1 day for the exterior, and 1 day for the interior shots, and aprox 1 week editing and stuff :)

  • did u use any lighting or bounce cards in the stair well? Or is it all just coming from window?

  • yes, we used two 30cm long white neons for each shot

  • Dude, that was sweet. I have never seen anyone make an xl1 look that good. Not to mention the concept rocked. Good shooting, good music too.

  • This is really nice work. Common question tho, did you use the XL1 XL2 or XLH1? and was it the standard lens?

  • XL1 w/ standard lens

  • awesomness.
