Word of adivice to anyone playing this, when you go into deadeye dont target the zombies, just take a sec in deadeye and shoot them in the head. Each kill gives you more deadeye so if you use this tip you will have infinate deadeye! note: you can only shoot one at a time with this so make it a headshot!

Just incase you still havent figured it out. When your cleansing a town, the more zombies you kill, the more the bar fills up, when a bar is full then a circle gets fileld in. The more circles there are the more zombies there will be.

But like you said, you can sacrifice killing less zombies but it will cost you ammo, by giving the people ammo it means less killing, but less ammo too.
