Kocur never KO'd Ray but he more than schooled him in 2 of the 3 fights they had. That being said Ray was still a very dangerous fighter for any opponent but he certainly was not a top 5 in any year he fought and that's not a shot at the guy. Ray played in the late 80's and through the 90's where heavyweights reigned supreme and he did well. He had some huge wins, a laundry list ok clear TKO's but he also ate his fair share of punches.

He could never be ranked higher than Probert, McSorley, McKenzie, Twist or Grimson and they played over the same span. Players did not fear Ray like they feared the others I mentioned.
