This is much more than a simple "sex movie", it's more like an acid trip. Powell makes the viewer experience the thoughts and emotions of the characters by the words and actions he uses in a very covert and subtle way. You experience sex and sexuality but to call it a "sex movie" really is belittling it's unique power.

But when asked what kind of movie this is, I simply say "It's A Sex Movie" which is precisely what it is.

Sister Clodagh is also intrigued by the idea of men and women touching each others pee-pees but she clings to her vows.

Also, the young Indian girl is also intrigued by pee-pee touching and it is most likely that Mr. Dean has done this with her before bringing her to the nuns.

This is what is known as a "sex movie."
