It was excellent to hear your Sermon today on Ezekiel 36.27. You showed three points from this text. First, GOD promised to give His Spirit; secondly, He promised to give it to "you" - not "all" or "everyone." You showed clearly from the context that GOD gives His Spirit to those He has cleansed from sin, and to those who He has given a new heart. The glorious effects of the Gift of the Spirit were good to hear. The Spirit helps us like no one else can!
Thanks for shining the light on this great Text. GOD is very clear in all HE says, & your preaching is very clear, too. GOD gives HIS SPIRIT not to glorify us, but to glorify GOD, as you said. HE only gives HIS SPIRIT to those whom HE has cleansed from sin and in whom HE has put a heart of flesh, not to those who cherish & live in sin! The effect of the gift of THE SPIRIT is godliness, as you said, not outward prosperity. THE SPIRIT helps us spiritually. Thank you for more outstanding Sermons!
Thank you for this Sermon on Ezekiel 36.7. God says He would give the gift of His Spirit, and would give His Spirit to a specific class. God is very clear in what He says! God gives His Spirit to those whom He has cleansed from filth, and to those who have the new heart and the new spirit. As long as sin is cherished, the Spirit is withdrawn! When we submit to God and allow Him to do His Work, it is then the Spirit abides. The Spirit can really help us to be godly in our life!
