  • How is called the game of star fox When fox down on a planet?

  • @1criticadorpositivo Starfox Adventures :)

  • they could have at least ported the 16 bit origional starfox game,

the gba has a way stronger prossesor than the Snes

    snes=16bit

    gba=32 bit

  • @munther555 the snes starfox was 32 bit

  • @RANDOMCATS100 You're wrong. The SNES is a 16 bit system.

  • @randomdude581 The snes had enhancement chips that gave it more memorey look it up

  • @RANDOMCATS100 You must be talking about the super FX chip which came in the starfox cartridge

  • looks like star fox and sonic adventure plane flying mission...

  • I remember this game. The one that looked so much like Star Fox, I went back and played Star Fox instead.

  • Picked this gem of a game up at Gamestop for $0.99 yesterday. Was very surprised as to how good the graphics are for a GBA game....Sure, the gameplay could be better, but this is one of those games that could have been a showcase for the GBA's graphical capabilities, but seems to have been forgotten to the sands of time.

  • @indyracingnut sorry but... what?! This, as demonstration of power?! This so far is the ugliest game I've seen for the GBA, ever.

If you think this is impressive I think that you should check out Iridion 2.

You may end up thinking Jesus coded it...

Regardless of comparisions, Iridion is a fun game.

  • @SpiralPegasus Well, you see it is wrong to compare Iridion and Star-X. While Iridion really looks MUCH better is is NOT 3D at all - it is rail shooter with cycled sprites, this looks sweety good but its just a dirty hack. On the other hand Star-X is REAL 3D game with 3D map, 3D objects and pure software rendering. It's slow, somewhat ugly and looks very much like StarFox (Gba and SNES close in terms of performance), but this is really more "technically complex" game then Iridion.

  • @Vednier I know. Still, more technically complex to render as Iridion 2 does? Making barely rendered 3D polygons over a flat background? Seriously?

It's not just because it looks pretty, I know it's 2D, but the visual work when you approach ANY object or the walls on the side is amazing. Coding should be on par, if not above, to make an -illusion- so good. It's not 3D, but it's not quite the simple 2D either.

I haven't heard of Star-X anywhere else but here, anyway. I comment on what I see...

  • @Vednier iridion isn't that impressive considering their use of an fmv for a background, and horribly-scaling sprites for everything else. The iridion ship can only hit was is directly in front of it,it never changes it's firing angle when it moves around. Because of this, the game has a very stiff feeling.

  • @Zookerman8531 Well, maybe, but Iridion still has one good point - absolutely great music.

  • its only $1 at gamestop lol

  • Do a barrel roll!

  • Is anyone else hearing Star Wars laser sounds?

  • What A Jip Man....I have Starfox 64...I feel sorry for some1 who has this game yo

  • Man, I loved this game. The music is absolutely superb, especially considering that it's only a Game Boy Advance!

  • i know this is obvious, but the gba has SNES graphics.............

  • What the blue crack is this BS? A Butchered Starfox Ripoff?

  • It looks like a shitty starfox ripoff for the N64, not a GBA game.

  • @killerkirbydude actually it looks like a ripoff of the SNES game

  • LOL ranbiow in the background

  • the First X on Gameboy was created by the guy that pretty much made StarFox. then the guy made this and is now working on a new X for the DS

  • One of the first fully 3D games on a handheld athough primitive compared to today's handhelds like PSP and itouch and soon the next gen Nintendo 3DS.

  • Glad I did not get this game!

  • Looks allright. I may have to buy this

  • I have the game and its gay

  • starfox clone!!

  • no shit sherlock

  • It looks like it has the graphics of Star Fox (SNES), but with the gameplay of Star Fox 64.

  • @SonicTheJackrabbit Don't mock SF64

  • It looks fun

  • it looks like f zero and star fox in one game

  • I bought two copies of this game, thinking that I could link up my 2 gba's and play multi-player. Notice, at the middle of this video 2:30 how the player seletcts "single player" mode. Well, I could be forgiven for thinking that there is a multiplayer mode too. But I cant work it. I know that my gba's arent broken and the cables are fine and I can play multiplayer on other games like banjo pilot. Can anyone here tell me if they have played multiplyaer star x &if so, how? What's the menu option?

  • I don't really mind the genre changes Star Fox has gone through a couple of times, but it'd be great to have another game that plays like Star Fox 64 again.

  • Why couldn't this have been a Star Fox game instead?!

  • in.fucking.deed.

  • Woo! Do a barrel roll! ^^

  • @StarFoxAutobot Because clearly the Game Boy Advance had too many good games on it so Star X had to be made to balance the library out.

  • I'm probably going to regret saying this, but "do a barrel roll!"

  • How did I guess?

  • lololololololololololololololol

  • lol

  • "Say your prayers, Andross!"

Hahaha Star Fox 64 = Greatness!

  • The hit detection looks awful. Hitting your targets looks about as simple as pissing into a shot glass that's spinning on a record player that's strapped to a running cheetah's back while riding a unicycle on a tight rope bindfolded. (Blatant AVGN reference.)

  • Yes the hit detection looks a bit over the top.

Wing Commander owns this anyway in the shooter department. Come to think of it, so does Star Luster for the nes.

  • @Mikhaijlovich wow man seriously! it was looking into a response coming from me!

do you also have the gift of random story's about idiotic and retarded stuff?

  • @Mikhaijlovich What episode was it again?

  • @Mikhaijlovich when i first read ur comment it looked like something from avgn! lol :)

  • Maybe a sequel to "X" in japan, but a one-off here...

  • ″See my ship? doe's it look okay to you?!

  • looks like the controls a re a little bit sensitive

  • Probably be a perfect starfox GBA kinda of game if they had save games instead of a password system... :(

  • Lol, looks like they were trying to make a Star Fox game work for GBA and failed, thus deciding to remove "FO" from the game title.

  • That's impressive how much this game reminds me of Star Fox...

  • Even the music sounds great! ^^

  • they should have had the player basically move the cursor with the ship following- like in starfox, that way it'd be easier to aim

  • Looking at this game, it shows that a GBA port of the original Star Fox could well of been possible.

  • The gunshots sound like blasters from Star Wars

  • everything is so polygonal in this game

im serious most of the enemies are identical, even the boss looks the same, except they might have an extra triangle..

but it's still fun to play

  • Do a barrel roll!!

  • wrong game, wrong system. but it is true, i wish this was actually starfox with its easy targeting system goodness.

  • And good maneuverability

IE Loops, U-Turns, and, oh yeah

    Barrel Rolls!!!!!!

  • don't forget the *in peppy's accent* summasalts

  • haha

    and "Use bombs wisely!!!"

  • DO A BARREL ROLL!

  • "Never give up! Trust your instincts!"

  • Lol! I want to play Starfox now...

  • Good times, good times

  • USE THE BOOST TO GET THRU!

  • "Be careful, it's a trap!!!"

  • "You're becoming more like your father!"

  • "I guess it's YOUR turn to be thankful!"

  • DO A BARREL ROLL!!!

  • "Your father helped me like that too!!"

  • "Be careful! It's a trap!!!!"

  • "Use bombs wisely!"

  • "Use the boost to get through!"

  • this game looks cool I want it :D

  • are the bosses like star fox 64's bosses

  • yes it is star fox but screwed up!

  • GP2X F-200 , there u go

  • Looks like a toaster bag...

  • right... but it would run any snes game VERY well , even n64 games

  • It'd also stop toasted cheese sandwhiches getting burnt

    ^_^

  • anyways , if u got a DS , u can spend £30 on a R4 card to play snes emulators on yer DS

  • o rly?

would you have to download them from the original cartridge?

  • no , u just download the starwing/fox fx rom that u'd normally use on any snes emulator

  • whar can i find this "snes emulator"?

    lol

seriously, ive never used emulators before...

  • just use google and look , best bet is go to the pirate bay

  • k thanks!

  • Yes, but it's a shame that the only good SNES emulator for DS doesn't support the Super FX chip. Which is the thing that actualy allowed Starfox to use 3D graphics on a SNES

  • wont be long b4 there is FX support

  • looks like a sequel from starfox.

and nintendo could had( with the help of graphics state) ported starfox, vortex, stunt race fx and winter gold 3d etc,,, from the snes to the gba using this 3d engine!!!!!!!!!!!it would,ve been soooooo ideal!!!!

  • The game looks good, I think I might try it.

  • ... That looks like Starfox... Next we'll have a widdle bunny wabbit yelling "Do a barrel roll!"...

  • That's quite an impressive speed for a 3D game on GBA hardware. Most others I've played are pretty slow.

  • what a complete starwing fx ripoff

  • yes, but you cant get starwing on a handheld can you?

  • yes , emulator

  • which handheld?

  • any that supports snes emulators

  • such as...?

  • that gx200 thingy

  • "That gx200 thingy."

    Well..searching "gx200" on google brings up a lawn-mower engine...

So you're saying that a lawn-mower engine can emulate retro videogames?

  • cant remember name of it excatly

  • Star fox Snes looks better than that, and GBA can make something better gba have better graphics

  • who knows

they might remake the Starfox version on the DS

    instead on the SP

the power on that thing dont look as strong on the SP

  • there is

  • iu wonder if this is how star fox originated.

  • That's impossible. Snes was out before Gba.

  • OMFG! I used to own this game back in my junior year in h.s.! this game kicked ass! I've beatened it a bajillion times!

  • my gp32 own this handled console :P

  • LOL no way!

  • The music sounds kind of similar to the music in the scrolling shoot-em-up, Tyrian and it's updated version, Tyrian 2000.

  • GBA had so much 3d potential.....

  • Impressive for GBA hardware, but the soundtrack is nowhere near as good as Star Fox

  • wow, this is the 1st gba even game that uses polygons...

  • meh full 3D is often overrated...I prefer hand drawn 2D sprites on a 3D background...

  • like knuckles' chaotix the very fully rendered special stage?

  • If you look at the top of the screen it looks like the top of the screen of Star Fox.Has the same grapics as the first Star Fox also.

  • i agree with you, but the game was not made by nintendo

  • Its maybe a sequel to X which was made by the guy who made Star Fox.

  • It's Star Fox without the Fo.

    The whole thing seems copied.

The whole Zoness level design from Star Fox 64, the laser sounds, the interface.

  • Comment removed

  • what do you think?

    n00b

  • I'm surprised it doesn't look better than Starfox given the 32 bit advantage. The ocean floor is textured but still looks crap. What happened?

  • Maybe there is a mini FX chip in the cart?

  • no, the gba is 32-bit.

  • I wanna play this game.

  • see i think a remade version of the original starfox would've been awesome.

  • is this game using the super fx chip?

  • The GBA does not have a FX chip.

  • Nope. This is all software rendering. The GBA is actually a lot more powerful than an SNES and SuperFX combined.

  • Do A Barrel Roll

damn, what a rip off XD
