HAH! No one seems to get it! That really is her pet "kitty" and she is just fooling the public. That raccoon is smarter than any cat you have ever me. And if that woman needs to call him/her a kitty, NO problem. It;s all about the main chance. What raccoon would not prefer a warm bed and good food to being harassed by people who think raccoons are "mean" or "dirty" or... Each of us who have met raccoons in real life know they are absolutely delightful creatures who are smart, sweet and sassy.

This almost happened to me one night! I had a bell hanging on the door for my 2 cats to let me know when they wanted to be let in the house. It started going off at 2am so I stumbled half asleep to the door and almost opened it when I realized both cats were in the house. I peered cautiously through the glass at the bottom and 2 baby raccoons were playing with the bell and looked right at me like they wanted very much to come inside.

I know I was lucky MissFuzzbottom, but this 'kind of' happened to me the other night. There were 2 'wild' raccoons on my patio. The door was cracked enough to put a stick w/ a bobbing string out & room to throw a little cat food. I was telling my cat, "let's go night night" as my Mom was closing the door. She only saw 1 of them on the patio as she closed the door. I told her to open the door slowly; the other 1 was playing behind her in the middle of the cat toys. She let him out w/ no prob. LOL

I totally went to Sears today and bought new glasses because of this commercial. I wear my contacts all the time after my glasses broke last year, so my eyes get pretty irritated sometimes. I have a Himalayan cat, so I could totally see myself letting a raccoon walk right in if I didn't have my contacts on. I also laughed a lot when I saw this ad. Great commercial, Sears.
