  • Runners need all three systems to run effectively and creatine is one ingredient most runners don't get.

By the way because you seem so informed, creatine is a natural substance your body needs everyday and is high in steak.

  • Thanks for the info...Thats what I needed you to say...:" Creatine is a natural substance your body needs everyday and is high in steak."

I'll have: 2 bananas, 2 eggs, 2 spoons of honey, some avocado and 200g of steak before the race then.

Creatine is a natural substance, I agree, but it's chemically produced...

Just for you information...They don't extract it from steak and store it in the supplements that your trying to sell!

    Cheers

  • Second, you anaerobic metabolism which uses sugar from your blood stream which your bananas and honey are good for which is your energy needed if you want to run hard for an extended period of time. Third, your aerobic metabolism which uses carbs and fat with energy which needs complex carbs like rice or pasta which your body stores in your muscles and liver. This is your major source of energy for running long distances.

  • I have no idea what you are talking about. Creatine has nothing to do with complex carbs. My comment was that your wonder diet of bananas and eggs is lacking complex carbs.

If you want to know your body has three energy systems. First, your phosphogen system which needs creatine stored in your muscle which you use for sprinting.

  • I thought this was good as I know that none of my runner friends know anything about creatine and they are part of more myth than any facts.

  • blah blah blah

    All that is crap,

Have a mix : 2 bananas,2 eggs,2 spoons of honey and some avocado before the race

and you'll be sprinting all the way(not just the end)

  • Interesting comment since in your plan you are missing complex carbs stored in your muscle cells.

There is more to your nutrition than just eating bananas and eggs.

Creatine is the one aspect of nutrition that many runners are not getting which is your main source of energy stored in your muscle cells for sprinting.

  • You think that you can convince me that those so called"complex carbs"are only available in Creatine & not in any other healthy food...

Mate supplements are all chemicals,Yes they might supply a bit(just a bit)more energy than the mix I'm talking about but on the long run you'll be destroying you're body inside out(especially your liver)

Plus, when you get used to it your body will no longer supply the normal or average energy that it used to b4

I prefer living longer than running an extra meter.

  • gotta becareful with bananas before workin out even though they supply potassium..bananas can fuck you over sometimes preworkout lol
