If it werent for bands like this there wouldnt be any new modern alternative rock bands like, The rascals, franz ferdinand, placebo, muse, the hives, arctic monkeys.
I love post punk like this; joy division, sisters of mercy, siouxsie, echo b men, bauhaus etc.
Unfortunately i haven't had the pleasure in seeing the Cahms live...but i'm privliged enoguh to be familiar with their amazing, unique, powerful music and i'm thankful for that!
It's a great privlige to be a part of the CHAMS fan club!!
@Gablo51 "saben"...no "saven".
The Chameleons, Joy Division, Siouxsie And The Banshees, Arctic Monkeys, Bauhaus, The Sisters Of Mercy, Echo And The Bunnymen, Rosetta Stone, Stone Roses, The Rascals, Inspiral Carpets, Muse. Son de lo mejor.
Both the Chameleons and the Sound are CRIMINALLY underrated. I like Joy division but they are no match to the chameleons.
I just can't comprehend how these guys are still relatively unknown in the music world today. If they released script of the bridge today, they would have quickly become one of the biggest bands in the world.
The amazing thing about this band is that every song on their first three albums was outstanding. No filler. Great lyrics. Haunting original sound. People lumped them in with Echo, U2, the Alarm, etc. but their sound was different, more chilling, more emotional.
Thanks for bringing all these videos available. This is great! I am French-Canadian and I love this band. I am coming back on YouTube often to watch them and listen to this wonderful music. Tonight I have discovered that you have your site so I will be visiting it as well in a very near future. Thanks again!
The Chameleons go past the surface. Profound bastards and their awesomely meaningful ballads !!! Makin me make funny faces n shit. (╯▽╰)

Badly under rated band. Happy memories of seeing them at the Academy 2 in Manchester. Loved the social commentary in many of the songs.

best to keep them under-rated, humanity doesn't deserve such brilliance. beside, everyone else can have michael jackson and vanilla ice

the best days for music. I saw the Chameleons live in Seattle back in 1984
i believe and was blown away.

the smiths, the cure, and u2 should kiss these guys ass. interpol should let them in on some of their royalties too.

Such a true statement, Interpol r shirts and ties nothing more.
Mark once made the statement ''we r not fashion music'', A bold statement for the time.
