With an hdmi cable and a tv that natively displays 1080p, you will definitely see a difference between it and 1080i and 720p.

1080p via hdmi/dvi, is the best quality you're going to see on a tv, it's not even an argument unless your screen size is below 27 inches, but even then you'll notice it when usuing the internet or something like that, not so much of a dif for games at that size.

just telling you, NEVER use 1080i in a game, it does look better but when a character is in the middle of some great action filled with explosions, it looks much much worse and is less smooth since its interlaced. 720p or 1080p is always good for games (1080p is better than 720p, believe me there is a huge difference but most games dont support 1080p, even though COD4 is native 720p, I make it 1080p because it looks much much better IMO)

I really havent seen or heard any problems about this game in the ps3, it doesnt cause any problems for me. But there is YLOD which is just like RROD only on the ps3. but the chance of YLOD is 0.1%

Theses copies are from europe or w/e, usa doesn't have them out yet :( you can tell by the cover art and rating system, usa has "M" for mature not 18+, but they are lucky to have it early.... im sad :(
