Yeah with 630bhp I would say the Porsche probably can deliver a bit more, I don't think its the tyres thats the much of the problem, but the weight distribution in the 997. The front is much lighter than the rear so, there is some understeer, which means less speed round the corners. The GTR has a neutral balance and centre of gravity, which means better handling and more speed through corners. The Tech guy said he will be shocked if the Porsche does'nt win.. guess he is...

I Couldnt agree more, But, For example, when the GTR Uses the Launch Control it can do 0-60 in just 3.3 - 3.4, nt even a Murcielago can do it.. =p

wow this is a disappointment for cec and for techart, i would think they fitted the gt street with r comps if they didn't that's pretty stupid for how much power it has. Anyways cobb has done a great job tuning the gtr. Kudos to Cobb

The Cobb GTR is indeed very impressive but the Techart 997 could have done a lot better if it had better tires. I don't know why the Porsche owner thought it was going to be a walk in the park to beat the Cobb GTR.

Yeah with 630bhp I would say the Porsche probably can deliver a bit more, I don't think its the tyres thats the much of the problem, but the weight distribution in the 997. The front is much lighter than the rear so, there is some understeer, which means less speed round the corners. The GTR has a neutral balance and centre of gravity, which means better handling and more speed through corners. The Tech guy said he will be shocked if the Porsche does'nt win.. guess he is...

no, because Nissan said it's a feature.
But it's a feature without warranty. And the tranny is cost $20K. I think Nissan should definitely add MT option.
