@hadlum yer seems like a place that brought people together and part of the areas heritage it is a shame man the people should get it back before it turns into a subway or wat not .
Brings back memories! I was here buying records back in 1999 - 2000. Right behind the old fruit n veg stalls lol! Shame it got all mainstream with all these wannabe gangsta'a moving in. Used to be a nice quiet place to go buy dubs but towards the end you were looking to get jacked as soon as you walked out the door. No wonder it closed, too many thugs in Croydon now.
When we did this advert I gave the people who made the video a copy of Bengas Skank which was a promo at the time so it could be the backing track.But when the dvd came out it had this music as the backing track,it did not represent the music we were selling in the shop and to this day I have no idea who the tracks are by. I was gutted because the dvds had been pressed and Id already paid.
legendary record shop. i used to bunk school just to come here at least twice a week. hatcha and john used to hook me up with all sorts of classic gems that they would just pull out from under the counter every time i visited. best record shop ever.
