  • @GeorgeRingoGirl

Part 1 doesn't have anything to do with school or students. That's part 2. This is about the death of his father. The "first brick."

  • pink floyd i love it :)

  • pink floyd i love it :)

  • i love pink floyd ;D

  • "Daddy, what else did you leave for me?" It sounds so good. Like, you really think about it. What Waters dad left for him when he died? You kinda feel sorry for him. I don't know why I like this song so much ,because I have greatest dad in the world. He bought me guitar and other stuff, FOR ME. He left a lot for me.

  • genial

  • they do good live

  • Stoned!

  • You never get sick of this......

  • At 1:36 I luvv the intensity of Roger.

  • I remember when I was young waiting to see cool music videos on television. How long do you think I would have had to wait to see the wall live in it's entirety? I praise youtube

  • Hell, nothing wrong with enjoying modern music. I'm fourteen and love Pink Floyd, but I also like some Lady Gaga songs, and a lot of things inbetween ( Muse, Keane, Rogue Wave, Tori Amos ). Having a broad taste in music is nice. I still can't bring myself to like The Beatles, though... -waits to be bombarded by raging Beatles' fans-

  • @discombobulous

what's wrong with the Beatles? why can't you bring yourself to liking them? you say it like it's a task.....

  • @crossFbones For me it is indeed a task. I've always wanted to like the Beatles, to find something I liked about them, because most people love and recommend their stuff. I felt like I was being musically ignorant by not liking them, but I've given up; just not my cup of tea. To me it sounds as if the Beatles should've been writing children's songs for Barney rather than inciting the expansion of America's rock music industry. And their voices sound sort of..nasally? Maybe it's the accent.

  • @crossFbones Though I do kinda like She's Leaving Home and Sergeant Pepper.

  • hey , I have to kill 11 people who likes school and homeworks

  • @vitorpassalini Oh yes, how dare they.....fucking douche....

  • @vitorpassalini It's not about homeworks...

  • can anyone tell me what harmony gilmour is singing in the chorus? 3rds?

  • This >>>>>>> Sex

  • @qwerty09121209 NO NO NO NO THIS IS BETTER THAN SEX XD

  • @TheRemondo >>>> means "greater than" so thats what i meant :D This is the greatest thing

  • @qwerty09121209 Sorry I'm fenche :P

  • @qwerty09121209 Sorry I'm french ^^'

  • @TheRemondo Haha its okay :) Just enjoy the music :D This is the greatest band in the world

  • @qwerty09121209 Yeah I agree :P

  • @qwerty09121209 not quite. i believe a more accurate formula would be: this+sex=life well spent

  • Los chicos de hoy deberían escuchar estos genios musicales...

  • It's too bad almost all the good bands from the 60's 70's and 80's Aren't so popular anymore, and if a true legend of rock dies, almost none care, but if a pop dude or pop woman dies, almost every damn person in the world gets like: "OMG! He/She is dead! What shall we do?"

  • Pink Floyd just takes me to a parallel world.....whaaaaat a wonderful trip

  • This song is timeless that I listen at least once a day while driving.

  • This song is timeless n

  • the guitar sound is totally amazing.

  • os cara sao foda

  • 11 people have never made love

  • i have this cd. first rock cd i ever listened to in my life, thank god it was the greatest band ever, and none of those shit we have nowadays.

  • PINK FLOYD THERE S NO WORDS TO SAY ......!!!! THIS IS ART>

  • I don't agree with @DatingGameKiller bullshit, Waters and Gilmour are the great musician in all world

  • I'am 14 years old, and i hate Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga, but I like Pink Floyd.

  • Thank God for YouTube dowloader and Pink Floyd.

  • you know why he's got a number 1 on his shirt? Because you are watching the number 1 band that ever lived! PERIOD. Nothing left to say, really. Everything else is insignificant.

  • 11 people realy are just Another Brick in the wall

  • where can i find a recording with a better image quality

  • max delay

  • how delay do they use on the guitar?

  • @nonesta13 it's both delay and flange I think

  • @ehawkinstx do you know how much delay tho?

  • 425ms with feedback on 25%, level on 80% depending on which version you play live and what pedals you use. Compressor with attack on half, chorus on 50% with rate about 50% also so it sounds more like a flanger. very little overdrive, you could crank your valve amp a little but its not too driven for this section. Hope that helps

  • Not to take away credit from Gilmour, Wright, and Mason...but Roger Waters is just the most intriguing and mysterious entertainer I've ever known. The Wall really opens up his personal life to us...or at least those aspects of which he wishes to expose.

  • @DatingGameKiller i do not agree with you my friend..i think roger waters could write amazing lyrics and express himself with them BUT!!he wasn;t so good musician as David Gilmour or Rick Wright..if he wasn't in Pink Floyd with those guys i think it would be very difficult for him to make his ideas music..so i think every part of the band had a very important role...and waters role was to write lyrics..and he was amazing on that!!!!!

  • @dgmj1 Hmm. I understand you. However, Wright's song writing contributions were diminished greatly, beginning with Dark Side. And Gilmour's song writing, while being VERY good and listenable, paled in comparison with Water's vision. Compare the success of his solo work (Including the Waterless "Momentary Lapse & Division Bell) with the solo work of Waters. Again, I mean NO disrespect to Wright, Gilmour, or Mason...But Roger had the "mojo" of creative direction for Pink Floyd.

  • @DatingGameKiller you see...you didn't understood me..gilmour is one of the best musicians ever in all of kinds of music..and waters was one of the best ever on writting lyrics..so why do you compare them..it's not fair man..and i think that gilmour has more success as a solo artist than waters..BUT!!!both of them was PINK FLOYD!!!!!of course with mason and rick and syd..

  • MORAISITO - the best...

  • Roger Waters is so fucking beautiful it's impossible.

  • No shit drew ! WTF ! I say bring back records and album rock.

  • waters -- the hannibal lecter of rock

  • pink floyd are the undisputed gods of sound -- have you ever heard such a thick, brillant yet warm live sound

  • Roger Water's voice is so unique. I don't think there will ever be another album like The Wall ever.

  • @xcheesyxbaconx I can't say there won't be one "ever" but I certainly agree that since there hasn't been a record as good. There have been good records, but can anyone honestly say they are of the same quality in artistry and ambition as The Wall? No. It has pretty much asserted the end of rock n' roll as an important medium of expression amongst humanity... so far.

  • the best of the three parts here.

  • is he on drugs ?

  • 0:46 He winks to someone :p

  • @slepiceska -good catch--that is pretty cool. didn't think he had any sense of humor in those days.

  • @slepiceska Roger makes funny faces. Have you noticed. I think he was simply just being his usually hot self because it appears he uses both eyes. Cool part!

  • man, its like after zep died, pink floyd picked up. hell man, i wish i could of lived those days just for one year...

  • @zepdude13 Zeppelin's alive and well, forever.

  • I'm sorry, but what the hell is Roger wearing?

  • I was just born thirty years too late^^

  • @hypemabajee same here man!

  • @hypemabajee So.... you are 1 year old?

  • @chatoYmani no, sixteen-_-'

  • @hypemabajee

    the mars volta

    coheed and cambria

    tool

    the fall of troy

    A perfect circle

you weren't born 30 years too late. you were born without a brain.

  • @smokeyandcraig Eh, I'd take Tool & APC and leave the rest. But opinion is opinion

  • @smokeyandcraig fuck it you're right^^ but don't believe that I only listen to old music, I'm keen on new music too;) It was to laugh. I'm not mad about Coheed and Cambria, but I really love SOAD=) and a lot of Belgian bands too (I'm from Belgium) So, have I got a brain ?;)

  • @hypemabajee yes you have a brain :)

just kinda frustrating when people talk about modern music as if it all sucks, when its just popular music that sucks. plenty of bands that are killing it and are incredible that are overlooked because people decide they want to relive their parents time. the grass is always greener on the other side and people like to dismiss all the crappy music that was out during pink floyd's time.

lots of independent bands could use your support.

  • @smokeyandcraig It's nice to hear someone saying that=) I'm gonna go to the Roger Waters' gig the day after tomorrow, so if I hear someone saying that modern music sucks, I'll told them they've got no brain=)

  • @hypemabajee referring them to some great modern bands would be a good thing to do :)

  • @smokeyandcraig ok I'll do that=)

  • @smokeyandcraig Unfortunately, there are tons (and I mean tons) of bands with amazing chops these days, but innovation is at a relative standstill. EVERYTHING has been done before, including any all amalgamations of hipster-oriented "indie" rock (itself generally an amalgamation of new wave and garage rock). I don't blame the kids making the music; it's simply a question of where do we go from here? After 4 decades of brilliance, the past decade has been mostly devoid of anything amazing.

  • @mikper7 if you listen to mars volta and don't think that they alone make this last decade an amazing decade of musical innovation, you're mentally shutting yourself down for no good reason.

  • @smokeyandcraig Touche, they're fuckin' amazing my friend. And Queens of the Stone Age are no slouches. And bands like Dillinger, Coheed, the Bronx, Glassjaw, and Brand New, they're all great. I think what I was getting at pertained more to the past five years or so. I guess I'm just waiting for someone to completely knock me on my ass like Nirvana, Soundgarden, Tool, and Prong did back in the 90's...The Arcade Fire just doesn't.

  • @mikper7 ya five years makes more sense. haha when you said the last decade i was like ?????

  • meditation and directed intent has proven effective beyond reasonable doubt, just youtube 'greg braden - the science of miracles' to see for yourself, this year on 10.10.10 at 10am onwards we will be attempting another 'global mindshift' -just google the term, look on youtube and get involved.. its been done before and the statistics show a complete drop in violence, war, crime etc. for those days, -please get involved somehow and have a good one! for Gaia!!

  • their music was (...is...) an amazing trip.

love to fall asleep with this concert as background.

  • @nimatek667 how could you fall asleep before it is over?

  • @floydfan831 haha, yeah you're right, shame on me. but what shall i say, i've listened to this many many times awake, now i guides me even in my dreams O.O

  • @nimatek667 were my dreams as sweet as the sounds of floyd, i would never awaken

  • i wish i was alive to witness this

  • Epic tone... ESPECIALLY for the 80s. Ridiculous.

  • 1965 to 1985 was when music was its finest.

  • With all the different shit coming out now adays, theres nothing better then being drunk or stoned or what ever, and listening to Pink Floyd.

Some would define as the best life has to offer.

  • VIVA LA CREATIVITY....aLIVE

  • something went wrong in the 2000, we have such crappy music.

why cant my generation have good music? why tell me why?

  • @chitucoolass listen to phish theyre really good and they just got back together so theyre touring

  • @mictoproductions

sure, send me some good links, m lazy to find them myself! :D

  • our generation sucks i hat when people judge me because i listen to "outdated music" KNOW-ONE WILL EVER REPLACE PINK FLOYD!!! THIS is rock music not "green day" or "linkin park" pink floyd FTW

  • @ethanm23 music is still good , but if you wait for it on mtv and radio , you won't find it

  • @ethanm23 Mate, when I started to listen Pink Floyd I felt a little bit unconfortable, because all class-mate laughed at me and said: "This is so outdate you should have to listen "Modern Talking"!

But man, on friday (8th of April) I'm in Arnhem (Netherlands) and I'll see this show!!!!

  • @baletlnetpepas i flew over from scotland to see it in arnhem on the 9th, what a show

  • This album, The Wall, is a monument.

  • Saw them in 1988 " momentary lapse of reason" tour in Los Angeles. AWESOME. <3 Pink Floyd forever~

  • i fucking hate reggaeton, todays music isnt music

  • what they call "rock music" today just sucks. That was real music...

  • I would sacrifice my life just to be born during those times...

  • is it possible to get this on VHS or DVD or something? I've checked ebay and amazon and only the CDs of this performance are available.

  • Roger Waters performs the Wall with an all star cast this year.I have my tickets.

  • @captainimij got mine too. sept 16th toronto ACC!!!

  • Snapshot in the family album

  • you are the est best ....

  • Hi, can anyone tell me the name of this DVD?

  • I can't wait to see this remade. Finally. I just wish Mason and Gilmour would join Waters on stage.

  • @jbelcher74 Mason has mentioned that he'd be interested in playing with Roger. I would imagine in New York & London similar to the DSOTM tour. David might be another story. I doubt he'll perform with him, but if he did I think it would be for a song or two, probably Comfortably Numb.

  • oh god look at the show they did... whyyy wasn't i born in the 70s -.-.

  • daddys flown cross the ocean

    leaving just a memory....

  • I think this is the only band I know that doesn't dress fancy. They dress like they was home or something.

  • me encanta tan lindo"""""""""""""""""""!!!!!

  • Roger Waters = BMF

  • A W E S O M E.

  • you don't need to be smart to know why...

  • This is BAD ASS

  • great jam

  • What effects david using there? Sound like chorus and phaser but im not sure. Can anyone tell me?

  • Hi its a flanger, compressor and a delay unit at around 400ms with 40% feedback (repeats) , 80% delay volume through one of his valve amps- no overdrive on this section just slight amp drive crunch. No phaser. If you have pedals tell me what you have and I'll tell you how to get close to the sound. Cheers Neil (studio engineer, guitarist)

  • Ok. Thank you very much.

  • Hey, does anyone know what kind of headphones Roger Waters is wearing in this??? Thanks!

  • Rogers voice is a mystery to me. In Hey You he reaches out for a C5, which would imply that he's a tenor but then he would sing around F2 in The Happiest Days of our Lives, so what is he really?

Maybe he's just really lucky, eh.

Awesome song anyway, PF is like a healing potion when your ears have been hurt by music they play on the radio.

  • @Jouwl They play some PF on the radio :P

  • Not where I live I'm afraid.

  • He is a Roger Walters!!!

  • Check out "crazy diamond" it goes for something like 23 minutes

  • Each decade has had a different style of music. The 60's was the psychedelic era, the 70's was the hard rock/disco era, the 80's was the heavy metal ere, and i look at the 90's as the alt/grunge/rap era. Around the late 90's, all the crap[ we have now started to pop up and has not gone away since. I see a very bad future for music. Except for Radiohead and Animal Collective. Hopefully my prediction is wrong :(

  • I would say Muse is a great band for this generation. However, that being said, I agree that music for the most part sucks nowadays. I have been seeing stuff here and there about Roger touring the Wall again this year or next. He better do it soon if he's going to. He's not getting any younger. Hopefully Gilmour would be willing to go along too. Too bad Richard Wright wouldn't be able to be there. Rest his soul.

  • this is the first time Ive heard someone mention Muse on a PF or LZ page withut me having to bring it up! It means ther are people who agree muse is gonna influence a new generation of rock probably

  • well hopefully seeing that we'll soon have a music revolution! ;)

  • its not all gone ... your just looking in the wrong place i supose ;)

  • @SlappyIndigo Your right on that but also in the 80's was new wave and pop as well and even that finished off and turned into something worse.

  • i wish i could live in the 60 - 80

i was born in the wrong time....

  • @Chaserallomac12: True, I would have loved it too!

  • same i was born in a shitty generation...

  • Comment removed

  • the good old days was the 60's-80's when music was music. i fucking hate my generation.

  • I know what you mean man. I'd give anything to have lived in that era..or to even have seen this concert!

Looking at Now and looking at Then, well it seems almost as if Then was a completely different universe..

  • @drewdrummerman i would kill to have lived in that time period. its tough liking real music these days

  • @drewdrummerman Camp Onawana on Nickolodeon was cool, the Power Rangers was cool. Come on dude represent, we got amazing things in our generation.

  • Other than the song "My Generation", I don't like to many things that have to do with my generation.

  • @drewdrummerman I totally agree man. No more Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin or Beatles. Today it's all about Lady Gag Gag and Justin Bieber. Sad really. The child has grown, the dream is gone my friend.

  • @Jaymz1265 There are still good artists you just have to look a little harder now because the labels only back absurd bullshit. But it's out there. Seek and ye shall find.

  • @raceyblood Mark Knopfler and David GIlmour are my favs musicians and still alive! LONG LIVE FOR THEM!

  • @raceyblood All I have to say is that the only good modern bands are like Muse , Oasis, Coldplay, yeah that's it, but the most rocking band out of those three is Muse

  • @FcBarcaman1193 On second thought Mgmt, pheonix, Animal Collective as well!

  • @FcBarcaman1193 those modern bands are gay like you.... no need for gayness here.... fuck u

  • @Kuhlyedascope69 no need for youtube trolls, grow up, give him his fuckin opinion and listen to the great music

  • @Kuhlyedascope69 hey you fucking prick for your information , i hate modern music , those are just the only good modern bands, so fuck off you troll

  • @Jaymz1265 the wall was too high as now we can see

  • @Jaymz1265

    Not all kids =)

Most kids on my school think pink floyd sucks I hate them.

  • @Jaymz1265 Not all kids =)

Almost everyone no my school doesn't know who pink floyd are....

    Retards

  • @xXMetallica4everXx thank god i go to a school were most kids who know who Pink Floyd is

    i feel bad for you

tell people about them so they don't listen to garbage mainstream we have now a days

  • @Jaymz1265 you're such a idiot, xD

  • @GRACIELAAAXD Suck It!!

  • @Jaymz1265

I could not agree more, and there is also some very misunderstood and underrated bands from that time like Sween and Musik
