@cheercoach411, we would have come from Meigs together. We had Lee Sowell as drum major our 10th grade year at Choctaw. Lee Brown was drum major only two years -- our junior and senior years. Lee Brown was stuck marching in the horn/mello section with me in 10th grade!

Hi there - sorry but this can't be 1983 if the drum major in the video was Steve Giovanni. It must be later - 1983 drum major was Lee Brown - I was a flag from 81 - 83 and Lee was drum major all three years. He came up with us from Meigs Jr. High.

Thanks for posting all these early years though - really enjoy seeing them. :)

I wasn't in the band those years, but according to the members of the Facebook group (which you should totally join if you enjoy these memories) "You Know You're a CHS StyleMarcher If . . .," Lee Sowell was the drum major from 78/79 through 80/81, followed by Lee Brown from 81/82 through 82/83, and finally Steve Giovanni from 83/84 through 84/85. This performance is from the 83/84 school year. which would have been one year after you graduated.
