beautiful snakes, im hoping to have something like this going on soon, but a bunch of drama (involving both my roomates, heroin, and sudden moves across the country) im just able to afford my chondro and carpet right now.
awesome reptile room you have, can't believe i never came across you sooner! I love the acrylic and how sterile it all looks.. Like a lab! Pharmaceutical grade chondro's lol!
julian im going to be running some thermostats do you think helix are the best or should i go with spyder robotyics im going to be running the night drop feature thanks
im guessing you're looking at the cages in their site... just ask for solid tops and holes drilled on the side of them.. You can just use my name as a reference if you place an order. they should know what to do. My enclosures hold humidity well.
I am SO in love with your acrylic cages, they look very attractive because the snakes themselves show up very well and there's no foliage or vines to obstruct the snake's natural beauty. Plus they look easy to clean....
I own eight snakes currently, but I have always wanted one of these. I'm terrified I'll spend all that money on one and it will die for no reason. You wouldn't want to give me one would you? lol
I love the cages. I tried the website you mentioned and it didn't work. I currently use animal plastic caging but they aren't very good "display" cages. Can you clarify who made your cages please? Thanks.
My website has been down for awhile, i need to figure out whats going on. As far as the cages just google "total view cages" it will be the first hit you get. take care - jg
nice collection. i was just wondering if there is any arboreal snake that is ok for a begginner to purchase. A pet store told me that Salomon island tree boas are good but i wasnt too sure.
Chondros are fine for your first arboreal. Don't be afraid of them. Just make sure you do your research and dont skimp on their husbandry... Honestly my cats aquire much more attention than all of my chondros combined.
You'll be very hard pressed finding a true genotype "locality" animal. There pretty damn rare, actually. You really cant tell what "locality" a chondro comes from by looks alone, its not that simple. Most (most) people who market these animals with a locality sticker are doing just that.. marketing the animal and are just making educated or uneducated guesses aka - they usually (usually) didnt produce the animal in the first place. aka stay away. I'm not sure what you meen by "nicest"?
What would you say is your favorite GTP. I am looking into getting one, and I would like one with a lot of blue stripes and markings. Also, where can I get one for pretty cheap, preferably under $400. I like the red colored babies a lot too, how do you know what colors they turn out after the color change, because I want a red baby that turns green with really blue markings. thanks in advance.
this video got me into green tree pythons! ive always wanted 1 but there so much money. But now i own 4 of them :] and plan on getting more. your snakes are banging!!!!
Julian would you mind giveing me some of the advice you think is most nessecery in owning one of these snakes , im getting one in 2 months hopefully a young one so i was wondering what can u put a young one in a viv 60x45x60cm and will that be a gd size viv for one and how much will i have to feed a young oen and how regulary and do u think if handled from a young age they will become used to it and also what is the diffrence between these and emarald tree boas oh and my fav was summer :)
Both are very differnt from one another. Im not a colubrid fan and i only keep chondros. So i'm bias... You should do some more research on the 2 before you commit.
Nice snakes man! When you say that Salty is visiting from Mikes collection do you meen that your borowing for breeding? I could have sworn I saw Salty on line.
wow... you realy have a nice collection of GTP's. i only have one right now but i would realy like to get a trio going... greg maxwell definatly puts out some awsome looking animals.
Theres a reason for the names. As we keep track of breeding records (Pedigree). It becomes easier to remember a name of a chondro rather than TW-02-55MV. Some people do not keep names but still keep their breeding numbers for pedigree and accurate record keeping.
ProProducts stopped making the smaller heat pannels quite some time ago. BeanFarm is a local shop, i use them all the time... in fact thats where i got all my helix's from. They do not carry the smaller heat panels, as i get my pannels directly from pro products.
Are you only using 15x15x15"? I would post in the forums but i want to see if your still checking your YouTube vids. If you get a chance, get some video of that mojo x bd. I gotta see how how he/she turns out.
welll,,,, i own one snow corn, and he seems pretty un-cool now haha. they are love snakes though mate. i dont know the breed, are they "armed" if you catch my drift?

sweet collection, I am gona be getting 3 Boas, 1 Ball, 1 ATB, and 1 GTP. What local of GTP is the nicest would you say?
lizardbrothers 3 years ago
You'll be very hard pressed finding a true genotype "locality" animal. There pretty damn rare, actually. You really cant tell what "locality" a chondro comes from by looks alone, its not that simple. omgitsjulian 3 years ago
i mean like what locality is more docile
lizardbrothers 3 years ago
Locality is more or less BS. Calm parents usually make calm babies. Though if you're stuck on getting a calm chondro, stay away from chondros.
omgitsjulian 3 years ago
alright thanks

man im thinking about getting a gtp...ive had a ball pyhton and a crested gecko.and ill study them like mad...do you think i would be ready?

omgitsjulian 4 years ago
Hey Julian,
Why do you have so many racks when you only have 1 neonate? Is it because you will breed your snakes and put the other neos in the racks?
chondrohead44 4 years ago
Correct. They were once filled up.
omgitsjulian 4 years ago
Are green tree python agressive like are they mean?

haztaz14 4 years ago
milksnkes would be a lot easier
i have 1 but very hyper wen i got her but i held her some calm now
also they feed easier i think
tree snakes
are very testy cuz they have predetors from abov and below
just no sudden movements to the head
Snakess4life 4 years ago
Apples to oranges. I do not find colubrids intresting. Captive born Chondros are typicaly very calm.
omgitsjulian 4 years ago
