What we are hearing here is a Prussian military march with the German IMPERIAL Hymn "Heil dir im Siegerkranz" (same melody as "God save the King/Queen" and "My country Tis of Thee") worked into it. But of course the German Kaiser was none other than the PRUSSIAN king, so the confusion may be excusable.

Danzig had always a German speaking population, regardless which ruler ruled there. It was completely unjustified for the Polish government after WW1 to reject any peaceful solution to the corridor problem and to bully the population there.

Das erste deutsche Reich hatte als Amtssprache Latein und als Staatsreligion Katholizismus (bis zur Reformation). Es wurde deswegen auch "Heiliges Römisches Reich" genannt. Es endete 1806 wegen Napoleon. Daher das mit den lateinischen Namen.

Klar, viele Namen von Orten in Brandenburg und Sachsen stammen von den westslawischen Wenden und Sorben.
Abwegig ist es aber, daraus eine Begründung für polnische Grenzen ableiten zu wollen, wie es einige hier scheinbar versuchen.

yes I googled Nemmersdorf. yes, it's sad what happened, and what soviet army did to this people. And what you mean by "DU u realy thing that it was right to take prussia?" It was our land which was taken by prussia 123 years earlier! Gdansk, Wroclaw, etc was established by Polish kings, we didn't gain any land we just took it back. Poland as a country was established in Poznan/Posen, our first capital Gniezno was in the area of greater Poland long before Germany dreamed about Prussia.

if germans was there first so how it happened that it was the Poles who established Wroclaw, Poznan, Gdansk, etc. Those cities had already their urban rights when Prussia conquered them. huh, even Berlin was established by Slavics.

who said, german wikipedia? yes I read it too. Berlin was established by slavics, but don't worry I don't do big deal about this since Germans own it for so long. And even those names: Breslau, Danzig, Posen are they seem to you as German names, are they similar to those you can meet in Germany? those are germanized slavic names, f.e. Breslau - from prince Vratislav. What about Biskupin - the slavic village from Iron Age which you can visit in Pomerania. Germans was emmigrants here, not native.

Danzig had always a German speaking population, regardless which ruler ruled there. It was completely unjustified for the Polish government after WW1 to reject any peaceful solution to the corridor problem and to bully the population there.

Hołd pruski złożył nie naród, tylko Albrecht Hohenzollern sekularyzując Prusy. a Królestwem prus rządziła Brandenburska linia Hohanzollernów. Śląsk jak był w Prusach to sie rozwijał, dzisiaj jest dla Polski dojną krową i nei chce nam dać autonomii. Polacy nie potrafią się sami sobą rządzić. Lepiej sie rozwijało Księstwo Warszawskie niż Sanacyjna Polska.

To impose a language onto others is a kind of government abuse of power. It would be in the same way illegitimate to impose German language as it was illegitimate to impose Polish or Russian language.
Now, the situation is like it is. To make it work I could only imagine something like the Swiss example which works without imposing any language.
A government should not treat people like small children and tell them what to do, but instead act like a community project or an insurance company.

in Pommern ja, aber Breslau war i X und XI Jahrhundert Polnisch. Erste Bischofschaft in Breslau machte Polnisch König. Aber schon in XV Jahrhundert in Schlesien waren mehr Deutschsprachige Presonen als Slavischen

I would like to see an independent Prussia (only real Prussia, from the Vistula to the Neman river) which would be as peaceful, neutral, polyglot, decentralized and free as Switzerland.
Switzerland is an excellent example for a stable multi-ethnic free society. I think a decentralized structure and open communication is essential for that.
