The Bolivians need to work on their journalistic duty and CHECK the freakin' SOURCE. And seriously, these "photos" didn't cross the desk of ANYONE who's watched LOST? C'mon, man.
That bolivian broadcast reminded me a bit of Fox. Anyway, what's really creepy is that (if true) by using the cammera's serial number they were able to identify the owner of the cammera. That means that whenever you buy something your info is logged somewhere with what you own. This kind of surveilance seems unnecesary.
What you say would make sense only if it were something like a 3,000$ gaming laptop, but a digicam hardly warrants such a contract.
Furthermore, if what you say is true one should still be concerned. One has to wonder how many stores and warranty service suppliers did the newscast call (stalking) and with what degree of ease did the store give out the customer's information? I thought customer info was supposed to be protected.
Try not to be to judgemental, you can't judge all media by one station. Look at fox news for example, if you watched that you would think most US news is rubbish... well maybe generalisations do apply in some instances.
