Bless your heart, Rob! This song is one of those rare tunes with only a few chords that actually fit into my extremely limited vocal range.

As for that little riff at the end, I did it right at least 10 times BEFORE I turned the damn camera on. Once I decided to record the fingers turned to stone.

Ah of course. Those lyrics will stand the test of time. And just think, he wrote most of those songs in isolation with his family on a farm.

Wasn't aware of that. The story I heard about "Peace Call" was that folk singer Eliza Gilkyson was/is friends with Woody's daughter.  A few years back the daughter gave Eliza a journal with some of Woody's last writings in it. Among these writings were the lyrics to "Peace Call". Eliza changed them around slightly and out the music to them.
