Maybe it's because I have a fatal disease, too. It the Long QT Syndrom, a cardiac error, which cab cause heart stand still every single second.

This is a beautiful song. Great job guys! I am a mother of a child with type 1 diabetes so I completely get this song. I'm a JDRF advocate. I am also a nursing student and doing a power-point presentation next week and I would like to use this song for the background. I think it is what all us moms of a type 1 diabetic child wish for :) like most of you according to your posts, i tear up everytime i hear it as well. :) Makes me feel like i am not so alone as a mom coping with this. there are many of us out there :)

You should attend the meetings and find out. Do you have a pump?  CGMS? Do you know that we are now in human trials now? Did you know that 30 years ago you would have to inject blended pig pancreas for insulin? What are you using today?

Absolutely AWESOME! My little guy was diagnosed with Juvenile Diabete's 2 1/2 years ago, when he was 4 1/2.  This song says it all! Every worry, hope and dream that I have for my little guy ~ After hearing this I went to their website and purchased the CD ( All proceeds go to the Juvenile Diabete's Research Fund). I love this song!  Not only does it apply to diabetes but a multitude of diseases that children suffer from. It is universal to what a mother wishes for her child regardless of the circumstances. It reminds me of the song "I Hope You Dance" that Lee Ann Womack sings.

It does a service to the diabetes communities, to let others know that diabetes CAN and DOES cause complications.. such as leading cause for NON-traumatic lower limb amputations, leading cause of ESRD (kidney failure), blindness, stroke, heart attack, et al. My wife and I have a three year old son who was diagnosed with Type 1 in October 2005. This song brings us to tears everytime we hear it. I would disagree with lantusappreciation - there is nothing wrong with wanting your child to be healthy and happy. This is an uplifting song and it is not meant to disparage anyone.
