This is a beautiful song. Great job guys! I am a mother of a child with type 1 diabetes so I completely get this song. I'm a JDRF advocate. I am also a nursing student and doing a power-point presentation next week and I would like to use this song for the background. The presentation is about how insulin pumps help decrease health disparities. I would like to be able to use this but I don't know where or how to download it. I would love to hear from you. Thanks in advance for your time!
I think they both are wonderful singers and should go on america's got talent. Their voices are soo beautiful! i love this song it gives me chills and makes me tear up its soo good!
This song was one of the most beautiful songs i have ever heard. I think it is what all us moms of a type 1 diabetic child wish for :) like most of you according to your posts, i tear up everytime i hear it as well. :) Makes me feel like i am not so alone as a mom coping with this. there are many of us out there :)

@beerster this is an amazing song!! We are having a benefit concert at the Beaumont Club on Aug 19th, 2011 from 7pm - 11:30pm that all proceeds are going to JDRF Kansas City. I was wondering if there was anyway that I could get a mp3 copy of this music. I <3 this song!!
It would be great if they would come sing this song at our benefit concert! Add me on Facebook, Katrina Huckabay

omg this is sooo true i think any mum in the world would want to have diabetes in place of us but we know were stronga and we know that we can deal with it but all our parents want to do is take the danger of an ongoing disease away from us and better health,i really thank them for this every day!
You should attend the meetings and find out. Do you have a pump? CGMS? Do you know that we are now in human trials now? Did you know that 30 years ago you would have to inject blended pig pancreas for insulin? What are you using today?
okay u kno wat J.D.R.F. has done ALOT!!!! r u a diabetic??? NO!!!!!!!!! guess wat... i am!! those 1 billion dollars are the things that invented the insulin pumps (which is a life savor) they came out w/ the nasil spray and u kno wat they do hve a cure!!! but george bush declined it!!!!!!! they have done a lot to help diabetics in the world! they have helpd people like me and that lil boy up there singing!
Absolutely AWESOME! My little guy was diagnosed with Juvenile Diabete's 2 1/2 years ago, when he was 4 1/2. This song says it all! Every worry, hope and dream that I have for my little guy ~ After hearing this I went to their website and purchased the CD ( All proceeds go to the Juvenile Diabete's Research Fund). I also feature this video on my MYSPACE to bring Awareness ~ Thank you!
I love this song! Not only does it apply to diabetes but a multitude of diseases that children suffer from. It is universal to what a mother wishes for her child regardless of the circumstances. It reminds me of the song "I Hope You Dance" that Lee Ann Womack sings.
i love this song my lil bro is a type 1 diabetic this song was also played at our mums funaral.we thought we would play it due to the words and she passed away on his 9th birthday. LOVIN U ALWAYS MUM! XXXXXXXXXX
I am a type 1 x 29 of my 32 years. I have heard and loved this song for a year now. Thank you for posting the video.
It does a service to the diabetes communities, to let others know that diabetes CAN and DOES cause complications.. such as leading cause for NON-traumatic lower limb amputations, leading cause of ESRD (kidney failure), blindness, stroke, heart attack, et al. So if you are not a diabetic or are one, please contact JDRF and help use find a cure for diabetes
i have struggled with type 1 diabetes for 7 years and my biggest fear is that it will get the best of me one day... i think my mum prays this prayer for me with every breath she takes, you are not alone and its great to hear some one speak out about the perils! you lifted my spirit, thanx :-)
My wife and I have a three year old son who was diagnosed with Type 1 in October 2005. This song brings us to tears everytime we hear it. I would disagree with lantusappreciation - there is nothing wrong with wanting your child to be healthy and happy. This is an uplifting song and it is not meant to disparage anyone.
Iam a mom of a 12 year old son he has had Type 1 diabetes for 5 years, And ther is hope for a cure for our babies.Love my son dearly he has handled this illness wonderfully. He is so brave and Strong.
As the mother of an 11 year old son with this disease, you hit the nail on the head, beerster. Wish I'd had my kleenex for it. I wish the same things for my son, as well... Great post, thank you.
I've listened to this song dozens of times in the last two months. And I find much to dislike in the song- it's ablist and heterosexist- but it also really resounds me. I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes two months before I turned eighteen, a little over four months ago.
this kid is one of my brothers best freinds he is a really cool kid
