  • looks like shit

  • obrigado, era exatamente este tipo de ajuda que estava precisando.

  • His face is priceless at 4:08

  • Excellent video, help me a lot.Thank you very much.I gif you 5 stars

  • That is definitely excellent video.

  • very helpful five stars

  • nice job

  • Hey Renee, your not moving fast enough. Ha ha.

  • Rly great movie

  • What I have is a very small A-framed chicken coop. It's built on a 4x8 sheet of plywood with an A-frame roof. Peak is probably 4' 6" high.

  • On that style of shed, drip edge on the bottom would have been the most important. The front and back arent going to have any run off on this type of shed. So thats wrong, second at the end you have see many exposed nails on the curve of the roof (need to be sealed with silicone or tar). and ice and rain shield is usually common practice on any roof now a days.

  • Dumb question but to you also install a drip edge on the bottom edge of the roof as well - not just the side edges of the roof?

  • Thanks for the vid! I was able to re-shingle my shed by using your instructions.

  • IS there any other videos like this please reply

  • We used a different type of trip edge and brought the shingles out an inch from the rake and eaves on our gambrel roof shed. Cutting the shingles on the ground gave a much better result for us.

  • @Davidinalaska IT IS CALLED, "DRIP EDGE"..... HAHA

  • This was a helpful video for anyone who's going to shingle a roof whether

it's on a garage, shed or house. As mentioned by others I hated to see that

row of nails on the first ridge of the barn roof. My neighbor has a barn style

shed and he did not nail the tabs. After the hot sun hit them a few days

they laid down nice and flat without nailing the exposed tabs.

Also as mentioned you could glue the tabs down with roof caulk

or you can get a gallon bucket of roof patch for just a few bucks.

  • we bought this same kit in the video from Lowes, we made it 10x16 tho...

we are getting ready to shingle it...

    question is this...

can we use rolled roofing on the roof instead of regular shingles..?

  • @4doorlife Yes you can always use rolled roof but it does not have the longevity of 3 tab shingles.

Shingling this size shed is easy and shingles look SO MUCH nicer than roll roof but yeah

    you can do it.

  • I didn't buy one of your sheds, but these videos were still very useful for me. I built my whole garage by myself, but the shed had a few different construction methods, I was mostly looking in to see if you guys bothered with the Drip edge.

Only difference in me, I don't swing a hammer unless necessary, they make pneumatics for that ;)

  • Won't water leak into those exposed nail heads on the top ridge? There has to be a better way to do this.

  • @Kabloooy

Instead of nailing through, use roofing tar under the tabs to help them stay down... Much better looking too.

  • @Kabloooy THEY ARE NOT EXPOSED.......YOU MIGHT HAVE ONLY 2 NAILS THAT MIGHT BE EXPOSED. IF THEY ARE EXPOSED, JUST PUT SOME ROOFING TAR ON THEM........NO PROBLEM......OR , JUST USE METAL ROOFING HAHAHA NO PROBLEM HAHAHA

  • Thnx

  • great vid // thx !

  • About how long to install? And how would I know how much material would i need?

    Thanks for posting.
