  • what chanell was that on? doeas anybody know?

  • this is a cool video but youtube needs to fix the glitches in it and all their videos on here.its getting annoying.

  • How the h*&^ can anyone dislike this?

  • @faceseyesweirdhumor2 They're probably extremist Republicans, the kind who agree with the Tea Party.

They don't like ANYthing if it isn't about them.

My parents are Republican, but they're not TEA Party Republicans.

  • 2 people never needed help from a firefighter. Just wait til they do.

  • Firefighter are like Santa Claus they help so much thank you

  • I admire firefighters a great deal. They risk they're lives everyday to help others. They are so brave and heroes for sure.

  • I live in NYC and honestly firefighters deserve soo much appreciation and respect. They do their job no matter how dangerous it may be, to know that they save lives at the very risk of their own. I will always be grateful to them.

A proud New yorker and proud of the FDNY

  • Who rescues the rescuers?

  • @hell5309 Other rescuer

  • @budds46965 That was meant to be rhetorical, dude.

  • @hell5309 I know, I just enjoy being a smart ass\

  • I love this show our whole family used to watch it when it first came out

  • lol 2:39 he is like i wont forget those 3 words johnny's down and its only 2 because of punhuwasin < i know it is spelled wrong

  • it was slow motion

  • oh gosh how scary!!!

  • My house burned almost all the way to the ground on April 21, 2009

  • You can tell this was filmed in the late 80s early 90s by the cars behind the fire truck... Got a 3rd gen (red) Camaro, and a Black monte carlo. Sorry so random. Seems like they use the 3rd gen camaros a couple times in the re enactments on rescue 911.

  • Did he die?

  • They probably should've given this segment a "When We Continue." Just saying.

  • omg in the begining i was all tearing up{{SPOILER}}..i thot he had died...man

  • Not to take away from the story but the first guy you see he is a hunk!

  • why dont they air rescue 911 anymore??

  • I don't know why it ended, but with all the lives that this show has saved, it should never have ended.

  • why dont they air rescue 911 anymore because they got new shows

  • why dont they AIR RESCUE 911 anymore THE Ratings were low

  • Comment removed

  • mabye it got cut off Just like Fear Factor lol I really miss that show lol

  • If anyone watching this is a firefighter in New York City, I want to thank you for saving the people you could on September 11, 2001.

Even though my daughter's dad died in the N. Tower, I know he'd be thankful to you for saving the ones you did.

I am too. So is my daughter.

    Vicki and Mindy B.

  • I second that and I'm so sorry for your loss!

  • We're all grateful for the firefighters that day. ::HUG:: God bless you & your daughter!

  • @vickiormindyb your daughters dad? isn't that you or are you his step father now

  • @vickiormindyb Thank you for caring ,and I am so sorry about your loss. I know how it feels my father died in the incident and i couldnt save him.He died in front of my eyes when he burned even till now i can still feel the pain.I'm so sorry we could'nt save your husband even when we tried our best to save everyone we could.

And the happiness of Osama's remains still and steady in my heart.

I hope you and everyone else who has lost someone to Osama feels the same

    -The father of TDIfan

  • @vickiormindyb i would just like to add on to this and say TAHNK YOU FOR ALL THAT YOU DO FOR RISKING YOUR LIVES ON 9-11-01

  • this video almost makes me cry. 28 years old and have been a firefighter since I was 18 years old. Once a fellow firefighter is down all hell breaks lose. I lost my brother during the saw mill fire in salisbury NC. Justin Monroe

  • sorry 4 ur loss i lost my great grand in the line 2 except he was in a fire tanker roll over

  • omg

  • lol he just stops right when you think hell hit da tree

  • ya lol

  • gas gas gas

  • are those firefighters still with the firedeparment

  • why wouldnt they be?

  • maybe these fire fighters retired

  • We have a special bond, b/c our co-workers are the only ones who understand what we see every day and how much effort it takes to deal with it professionally.

It's a little like combat in that we see things most people wouldn't WANT to see.

BTW, I thought agonal breathing was caused by the insertion of emergency medication. An ER doctor told me that.

I guess it can be caused by an MI (heart attack) too.

  • My wife's ex husband was a fireman until he retired two years ago. If this had happened to him, I'd be glad & happy. I'm glad though the fireman in this episode survived & is ok.

  • is this a renactment?

  • All of the shows are.

  • ROFL!

At 2:42 "You hear it plain as day, those 3 words, 'Johny's Down'"

Umm, Johny's Down is 2 words.

  • The guy said Johny is down, not Johny's down.

  • No he didnt. They said it 3 times"

    "Johnnys Down, Johnnys Down"

"You hear it plain as day those 3 words Johnny's Down"

  • In the scene, the guy says Johnny's Down, but in the commentary, he says that the guy said 'John is Down'.

  • it sounds like that but he said "John is down"

  • your a prick are you a f f cause you probably dont understand the bond

  • Rock on man, im a firefighter too. What City do you work in?

  • cant say cause of privacy policys lol

  • I'm a Fire Explorer, and I understand your bond comepletly.

  • I'm a Wildland Firefighter. Not quite the same, but I understand the bond also.

  • Im an EMS Explorer, Dads a firefighter

  • I know what you meen I was an ems explorer for 2 years I am right now being voted in for seinor corp because i am an emt plus i am joining my fathers fire company so my dads a fire fighter too

  • great job and quick thinking of that fire fighting getting control of the truck and getting it stopped before they crashed head on into the tree

  • wilkinson4eva, i think the three words are john is down.

  • I still don't understand that whole, "Rescue 911, will continue." Was that an alternative to the usual, "When we continue." I don't remember it in any stories with multiple parts.

  • I saw it as DiPanni.

  • when the man said Johnny down. Did the other one say those three words??

    Im confused

  • I think he meant he said Johnny IS down...but still not reallly three..

  • Given the pronunciation of his name at the beginning, I'll spell it as "Depaney." That's just my best guess.

  • What is John's last name? I was looking on the New Canaan Fire website to see if I could find him.

  • are they still with the firedepartment

  • thanx for posting this episode. john was a close friend of the family. i havent seen this episode since it was first aired

  • everything seems like slow motion

  • are these firefighters still with the department

  • I think this episode was the closest that I was about to cry...

  • At 1:38, that looks like John, but then again it does not look like him??

His mustache makes me think it's another person playing John.

  • thx for uploading this! =3

  • I think it's very commendable that they all stopped to help John, but I hope at least some firefighters continued on to the fire. They probably did, but watching the clip, it looks like everyone who came after that truck stopped to help with the heart attack.

  • Don't remember seeing that kind of mask before, where you breath like through a large straw.

  • The syndicated version breaks right before the firetruck is about to hit to tree, and comes back after the truck is stopped, so you never got to see how the truck avoided hitting the tree.

  • what is a 1/2 hour eposide that FAM channel cut off?

  • Half hour (syndicated) episodes are the episodes like Odyssey and the Discovery Health Channel showed. They have two segments instead of three/four/five, and the segments are usually edited to make them shorter.

  • Thanks for uploading these videos BeatleMoe!

  • Looks like this was filmed with all those trees in Big Bay Mi LOL.

  • Can you please post part 2 of this video. Thanks!

  • there is a part 2 and it is on here

  • thank you much for uploading these . . . really

  • PART two seems unavailable.

  • The slow motion video along with the soundtrack highten the suspense of this segment. This is a great show.

  • for your info the 5th segment of #107 uses slo-mo to show the girl being accosted.
