See my comments on SFT-V3.5 I have just seen all comments here and I agree with them. IT IS Beautiful. Cant you find a way to make it deliver?? Higher Tower, Longer Blades?, Wider Blades ? DO SOMETHING!!!
You are right! This Turbine can´t produce 2 KW. We changed the design and also the power output. So i please to look at our new SFT-V4.2 here in youtube or at our hompage.
Trzeba powiedzeć wyglada elegancko i podejrzewam że nie jest to kontrukcja amatorska tylko chyba gdzieś w fabryce zrobiona.Ale wyglada fajnie ciekawe jakie osiagi i przydatność w terenie.
How about the massive wind load pulses on the structure generated with each turn?
For the 2kW output, what wind speed are you assuming? The machine looks a bit small for the mentioned output. If the answer is about 20m/s, I think I wouldn't like to be standing too near.

Darrieus wing lift turbines just work. Very nice, thanks for posting. .

Yep...not even close to 2KW. In this footage, you never even reached the cut in speed for a 12V system...which means ZERO output.
Post real numbers and try again.

I agree. And, the gall to claim that they "invented" it, too.
Sheesh. Really. I mean really.

I won't argue that the numbers might be exaggerated, but you don't know how they wound their alt, so you don't know the cut in speed.
I'm sure 2KW is a real number ... for a 50 MPH wind. What we need is a speed vs power graph.

Looks good, but nowhere near 2 kW.
I wish the creators of these things stop making ridiculous claims.
Lets have an independent certification for these things, including standard power measurements, price per kWh, and long term running costs.

I built my own Wind Turbine for UNDER $100 that is currently powering my 1600 Square Foot Home using the plans at:

Really nice looking wings blades.
