prt2: 2 yrs ago i had a surgery, and the doctor told me we'r gonna cut the bone, but not all of it, since mine is like 2 inches clear out, he said 6-8 wks, you should be bck to normal, then after 8 wks, he said it can tk 5-6 months to recover, then i moved from tht town, now its been over 2 yrs, and the level of pain is the same if not worse, and for my left knee he cut some of my nerves which mking me not feel tht spot, your ADVICE plz. thnks in advace
@HeresSeem Hey there, well I'm going on 7 months from my surgery and I feel great, it can sometimes feel a bit sore/tired but that is expected, especially since I am back playing basketball/running a lot now. I have been using the bicycle 5 times a week and also swimming (something you should consider, swimming is the best way to strengthen your quads/hamstrings to help your knees). Did your doctor remove the actual bursa sack?
@Chinchillin33 I had the surgery to remove the bursa, what he removed and what he left I don't know, but I'm sure he told me he will cut some part of the bone, but the pain is still there, and the bursa itself is still big in both knees esp. on the left one. I moved from that area, I should contact him again and see if i can transfer my medical record to my area and see what I can do.
prt1: Dr, plz. i need your advice, I was going to email you, then when I found that your following up on your uploads, I hv a question: I've been having bursa since i was a kid, i guess i paid attention to it first when i was 10, now I'm 28 and still suffer. its is infrapatellar one, but it does not feel like liquid, it is more of a hard bone, it hurts especially when I bend my knees, I can't bend and pressure them such as when exercising or prying, or crying while i'm bending, follows
I actually just had surgery yesterday to remove my bursitis, it was caused from playing so much basketball, my type of bursitis was located just under my kneecap, infrapatellar. Btw, the surgery only took about 45 mins, also my doctor did not use ortho or probing, he just did a vertical incision over the bursa and removed it, along with removing pieces of bone densities that were also causing pain.

@Chinchillin33 I'm aware he did not, I thought he did but now it seems that my surgery needs a surgery.

Can bursitis be treated with PRP injection? specifically prepatellar bursitis...and how does it work (if PRP can indeed be done)?

Can the pes anserine bursitis come from a meniscus tear, arthritis or just trauma ?
kaleidoscopekay 1 year ago
@kaleidoscopekay usually it has its own bursa ,
trauma can cause it
ultrasound is good for the diagnosis and injection
